Another outstanding release. They put on a great live show too. Sadly they went downhill with no brakes after this release.

If David Coverdale and Jason McMaster had offspring...Steve Lee is it. This guy can belt it out with the best of them. The music easily competes with Jackyl, Junkyard, and Dangerous Toys. Great CD!!!

From: FM Date: May 11, 2003 at 1:04
Easily their best release, and one of hard rock's most beautiful gems ever IMO. Every song is a standout, and Steve Lee is an _awesome_ singer. Saw them live and he sang even better than on record. Killer show, btw. If you like hard'n'roll music, you'll love "G"!

From: Reno Date: June 4, 2003 at 22:20
This CD gets frequent play in my CD player as does their self titled. They easily are a cross between Jackyl, Whitesnake, and Junkyard on their first 3 releases, but went soft after this one. The cover of Mighty Quinn rocks. There's no filler here at all. Every track has something to offer. Let It Be adds a little keyboard action and falls more into the power ballad/AOR catagory but still very solid. Fist n Your Face is pure balls to the wall. What the hell are you waiting for? GO GET IT!!!

From: Edilson Brasil Date: August 5, 2003 at 10:29

From: Big Papa K Date: June 13, 2004 at 1:33
Gotthard's last album before they changed their sound. A perfect mix of the old ("Make My Day" and "Mighty Quinn") with the soon to be new sound ("One Life, One Soul" and "Let It Be"). 8/10

I confirm all the good comments....an absolute jewel! Buy or Die!!!

From: Grimwulf Date: September 29, 2004 at 3:39
What a Fantastic album, Steve lee has never sounded better. Might be bias here but i have just recently(last couple yrs) got introduced to these hidden 90's rock n roll bands n i must say that Gotthard has to be my fave of em all. Just waiting for my Dial Hard cd..is it better than this release? Regardless, gotthard is a supreme act that should have been alot biggier imo.!!!!!!!

From: T-Bone Date: September 29, 2004 at 14:06
Get all 3 of the first cd's. They went soft after that

From: Kike Date: November 9, 2004 at 7:02
Ojala vengan a España algun dia. No quiero morir sin verlos kikefort@hotmail.com

From: Geoff Date: January 20, 2005 at 3:57
Similar to the previous CD and a great hard rocker, BUT this time they come equipped with two absolute gems! 'Let it be' is a melodic hard rock gem of very high standard and 'In the name' is simply, IMO, the best track they recorded on the first three CDs. Very good CD by a great band.

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 9, 2006 at 19:56
When it comes to this great band, this is as good as it gets!!! This is killer guitar rock. We're talking straight up 100 proof rock n roll here. "Fist In Your Face" and "In The Name" may be two of the best rock songs ever written. "Let It Be" would make any Whitesnake fan go WHAT? "Mighty Quinn" is one of the best rocked up remakes I've ever heard. This is ESSENTIAL Gotthard!!! One of, if not their best disc ever!!!

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 22, 2007 at 3:11

It's Gotthard nuff said...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: True Believer Date: March 25, 2009 at 8:02
Not quite different from the previous releases, but still very good. Some of the songs are similar to those of Great White or Jackyl, some others are Whitesnake inspired. The standouts are "Sister Moon", "Let It Be" and "In The Name". 8,5/10

From: Swedish Rocker Date: October 4, 2009 at 10:39
Still the best Gotthard-album. The only song I find a little boring is the cover of He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother. A song I never cared for in the first place.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 14, 2010 at 8:15
After being scathingly unimpressed with Gotthard's underwhelming sophomore effort "Dial Hard," I said to myself, they have got to do better on their third album. Well, not only did they do better, they knocked it out of the damn park like Babe Ruth swinging at a slow pitch. This is the kind of hot-charging, high-voltage hard rock that makes you stop dead in your tracks and say, Gee-whiz, this is really good stuff.

From: 123charpenay Date: May 12, 2012 at 16:31
wow!!! this jewel is a mix between the two previous records.gotthard is an extraordinary band.love this band forever.only killers no fillers (impossible for a band with this class).fantastic ballads, fabulous hard rock songs, super covers.on the japan import you have an extraordinary cover of "immigrant song" from led zep.i am not fan of the zeppellin but here thumbs up!.all is perfect on this album ,a real wet dream for lovers of top class hard rock.our swiss neighbours are not strong only in chocolate,in melodic hard rock they are on the top!!!!!!!!!

From: hair metal again Date: May 30, 2012 at 0:33
excellent hard rock release by GOTTHARD and with this one they settled their selves as an important act around the scene!G seems to have everything from hard rockers like "sister moon","fist in your face","make my day ","in the name" ,from mid tempos like "let it be" and ballads like"one life ,one soul"!brilliant!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 10, 2012 at 21:03
For me this album is a top notch one!!!..almost a complete hit album in all its extension...basically most of the tracks have somethin' to offer and Steve lee was unbeatable here...tracks 1,2,4,5(solid ballad),7(cool),8,9(great!),11,12(cool rocking song!),13(nice),14(nice The Hollies cover)& 15(good rocking Led Zeppelin cover, japanese B/T)...are outstanding all over...highly recommended album...93/100
