If you liked The State of Rock by Frontline, then you'll also like this cd. A little more modern sounding but still very melodic and the production is great. Steve Perry/Ted Poley style vocals with "Journey on crank" musicianship. 9/10

From: koogles Date: February 24, 2003 at 3:50
Better than the Right Attitude, not quite up to The State of Rock. I still say Stephan's vocals don't cut through enough.

From: M. Allen Date: March 3, 2003 at 5:35
Following "The State of Rock," it was disappointing to hear FRONTLINE shy away from melodic hard rock in favor of a more AOR-oriented approach, but thankfully, on "Right Attitude," they have rectified this error and returned a hard rock edge to their sound, meaning fans should be lining up in droves to get their copies of this excellent album. The guitars actually have some bite this time around, making this CD a welcome addition to the world of melodic hard rock.

Frontline rules.

From: rocket ron Date: October 30, 2003 at 9:06
Great album but production could be better.Vocals lost in the mix and bass / drums drown them out - hence only 9/10.This band has potential to be the best rock group in the world.

From: Kristian Date: April 9, 2004 at 13:16
The vocals on this CD are pitifull... So good music but the singers voice spoils this album.

From: VLADI-BG Date: May 8, 2004 at 4:57
My favorite Frontline's album."I Don't Know","Don't Break My Pride","Change His Life","Shelter Me"-GREAT AOR SONGS FOR ROMANTIC HEARTS!

From: wicked man Date: May 14, 2004 at 11:44
"Time stood still" reminds me a lot of Def Leppard's "White Lightning" but I would say that these guys make better music than the Leps... outstanding album, my favourite from them! Kickin ass to ALL the american bands and to ALL those shitty Frontiers releases out nowadays!

From: Rycheage Date: June 24, 2004 at 23:15
Standout tracks include the very AOR 'My Destiny'. Those stabbing keys bringing back reminders of the 1982-83 era. The opening bars from 'Lightning Eyes' sound so familiar, yet Frontline put their own impressive take on it. 'A Man With A Broken Heart' flows out of mid-tempo mode, and as you would expect with the song-title, emotion is key. Not up to their classic "The State Of Rock", but then again what is? This is above average stuff, not in the classic class though. Worth getting.

I must say I love this site and have no bad words to say about it, but I was appalled to see this album wasn't even listed in the best of 2002! That said, it is my personal favourite melodic hard rock release of that year, perhaps my favourite Frontline album of all, and an absolute gem! No trace of a filler, 'I don't know' is melodic perfection and the rest are killer as well. My one question about the posts here. Why do so many list 'State of rock as the best Frontline album? ...

From: Geoff Date: August 3, 2004 at 23:01
cont... It is a cool CD, but IMO easily surpassed by EVERY Frontline release afterwards. EASILY! They get heavier with each release, the riffs become tighter and ballsier, the songs better. Just seems odd to me a good melodic hard rock release would be rated higher than a bunch of outstanding melodic hard rock releases!!! Still, superb band either way.

From: John Date: September 17, 2004 at 5:27
It's a really big surprise for me to read that this CD is not like "State Of Rock". There can be no comparison between these two gems! Both of them are classic AOR albums, with every song better than the previous one! "Against The World" is one of the best albums of the scene and Frontline show the way to the other bands. Great production, mature and inspired songs, great vocals and players. Especially the guitars sound like they' ve come down from heaven! I raise my hat...

From: al676677 Date: August 5, 2005 at 14:12
Man, FRONTLINE kicks major ass!!!! Man, the song "Don't break my pride" is one of the best mid tempo melodic songs, it's just great how these guys manage to make so beatiful and clean music. The voice is clear, the guitars are well placed whete they gotta be, and the KEYS man, I just love the keyboards sound!!.. Check FRONTLINE you'll be amazed what you can discover.... This music chills my bones!... Cheers from MONTERREY MEXICO

Another big ass sounding record from Frontline. Consistently great, that's what these guys are. And to al676677's comment about keys. I'm not a huge keyboard fan by any stretch but damned if it doesn't just put the icing on the cake. Journey comparisons are inevitable, but dare I say that these guys are just a bit more consistent?

From: Carlos A. Date: June 24, 2006 at 13:13

I'm just listening to this one, and I have to say that it's a very very good effort.Very Aor-oriented, in the vein of DARE. Each song is awesome. Congratulations to this deutch band. I would like to know how many copies of the cd this band is able to sell.

My Pride, Change His Life, My Destiny, One Night... 10/10 Imprescindible.
