Simplemente un album genial, grandes conmposiciones, un gran vocalista, gran produccion.

From: Green Boy Date: April 18, 2001 at 10:16
I agree with the French geezer above ^

From: tomcat Date: January 20, 2002 at 16:15
this is a great melodic rock album.especially 'moment of truth', and green boy, this Juan Ma dude is Spanish... cheers mate tomcat@dolfijn.nl

From: foreigner fan Date: May 4, 2002 at 19:26
A great cd, with a great contribution of johny edwards in the voices, and the great production of Terry Thomas. For my one of the big works of forgotten aor.

From: Desslar Date: May 5, 2002 at 2:34
I don't know why Foreigner is even on this site, but this has to be one of their worst albums ever. No energy whatsoever, just bland pop. Lowdown and Dirty is pretty enjoyable though.

From: patiscat Date: May 5, 2002 at 3:25
the best foreigner record ever !

From: AORMASTER Date: May 15, 2002 at 19:17
Desslar - you are an idiot - this Foreigner CD totally rocks and Johnny Edwards made a fool of Lou Gramm [especially as Lou Gramm can't sing hardly at all anymore]. Where are you JOHNNY??

From: Desslar Date: May 16, 2002 at 4:00
Please. Listen to the Shadowking album released the same year. It blows away this album in every way imaginable. Oh, and Johnny's probably unemployed after this fiasco.

From: AORMASTER Date: May 18, 2002 at 17:47
could Desslar be the biggest idiot on HeavyHarmonies.com?? I believe so. Johnny Edwards has an amazing voice.

From: Desslar Date: May 21, 2002 at 15:49
Who cares about his voice? The music is bland AOR fluff. You could have Geoff Tate singing and it still wouldn't rock.

From: jason Date: May 21, 2002 at 16:49
Hey Desslar, Are you saying that Geoff Tate has a good voice? I am so sick of people say that Geoff Tate has a good voice!! His singing is so bad that it will knock birds right out of the f##kin' sky! Chris DeGarmo must be squeezing Geoff's balls like he is making orange juice. Mike Matijevic of Steelheart kick Geoff Tate's ass!!

From: JK Northrup Date: May 21, 2002 at 23:51
Hello. I have had the pleasure of recording two Records with Johnny Edwards, including co-writing the song "Ready for the Rain" which is on the Unusual Heat Record. I am here to gain more fans and not make enemies! I must tell all of you however, that if you don't hear the talent in Johnny's voice, you don't have an ear for talent and should'nt pretend you do. Lou is one of the greatest of all time, but there are only a handful of singers on the planet that can come close to Johnny.

From: JK Northrup Date: May 21, 2002 at 23:54
FYI. Be looking for a new solo CD from Johnny within the next year.

From: THE ROCKER Date: July 13, 2002 at 16:02

From: Rockforever Date: July 14, 2002 at 11:57
Look people,Johnny Edwards,Lou Gramm and Geoff Tate all have great voices, though Lou is the king. But this album is a fine Foreigner album, not up to the standard of 4 or 'Foreigner',but good nonetheless.Lowdown and Dirty shows Johnny's Lou-like vocals well, and Mick's guitar riffs are more powerful than on any Foreigner record since Head Games. Overrall a decent record, although Lou Gramm will always be essential to create a 'definitive' Foreigner album.

From: robert Date: February 26, 2003 at 23:10
IN MY HEART, I'LL FIGHT FOR YOU.

From: Lil Al Date: June 10, 2003 at 17:00
"Ready for the Rain" is an amazing song. GREAT Vocals.Great song. Hats off to Johnny Edwards/JK Northrop. (JK..are you related to Ryan Northrop?? he owes us $$$ LOL)

From: Gar Date: November 8, 2003 at 3:27
Some real standout songs on this(I particularly like "When the Night Comes Down"). Though nobody could really fill Lou Gramm's shoes, Johnny Edwards does a commendable job. This was Foreigner's strongest album since "4".

From: grammfan Date: January 24, 2004 at 4:22
I am the biggest Lou Gramm fan there is.Being a musician, singer songwriter myself, I have to say...Lou has been a big influence on my music. After Lou's departure and return...I was really glad he came back to the group. He could always do solo and Foreigner at the same time....but during his absence, Johnny Edwards stepped up to the mic and just blew me away. I think he gave the band a new feel and "Unusual Heat" is just an awesome album with a great voice to push it. I thought that when Lou r

Not a bad cd at all. Pretty enjoyable standard AOR with a few great gems like "Ready For The Rain". To my ears anyway there's not a huge jump between Lou Gramm's voice and Johnny Edwards. A little heavier than their late 80's releases and has a Brian Howe-era Bad Compnay vibe to it. If you can pick this up for a few bucks it's a nice forgotten album to discover.

From: Max Date: February 7, 2004 at 8:41
I'll Fight For You is one of the best ballads ever. The album just rocks from start to finish.

From: giorgos-greece Date: July 30, 2004 at 17:42
hearing a record of a known band with a change in lead vocals is always interesting, especially if it comes to legends like foreigner, van halen, journey, maiden, priest etc.The album is very good and a bit heavier than their standard sound.Johnny Edwards is a good singer but his style isn't exactly what fits the group.I don't know if it sold, but it was an interesting release.I quess that many non die-hard foreigner fans would even prefer this one from previous releases of the group.

From: Border Rat Date: October 22, 2004 at 12:44
This is fantastic music.Only heaven knows, lowdown & dirty,I'll fight for you and flesh wound are great songs. The ballad when the night... is excellent. This is Foreigner at their best.

From: perry.k Date: January 27, 2005 at 12:44
"Only heaven knows","I'll fight for you","Safe in my heart" are among the finest AOR tunes ever written!

From: Remastered Reason Date: January 13, 2006 at 21:32
Edwards over Gramm? Yeah right, whatever. There is no comparison, Gramm is a legend. There are quite a few tunes to get excited over here only if one can sit back & accept Foreigner without Lou Gramm. If not, think of it as a Mick Jones solo cd. Anyway, the material is nothing legendary but nothing hardly bad either.

From: Carlos A. Date: March 15, 2007 at 13:07

From: juan carlos Date: July 14, 2007 at 0:38
Mmmm.. Cuanto hubiera deseado tener a Lou Gramm cantando ese temazo llamado "When the Night Comes Down" o "Safe In My Heart" Mis favoritas de largo. La baladita "I'll Fight For You" muy buena, de las mas durillas me quedo con la 1,2 y 4. 8/10

From: Carlos A. Date: April 25, 2009 at 11:02
A few days ago I dreamed that Lou gramm sang Safe inmy Heart, after that I hate Mick Jones. This ballad is just a classic.

From: luisduarte Date: May 13, 2010 at 14:59
you have to agree that "lowdown and dirty" is one of the coolest rock tracks ever !

From: hair metal again Date: June 3, 2011 at 3:54
excellent release by FOREIGNER in timez when hard rock ruled the airwaves.choosing mr Edwards was a good move cause he had the voice, the looks and the hard rockin attitude that was needed.i must say that terry thomas does a fantastic job in production and the result is very good.standouts here are "lowdown n dirty',"only heaven knows","i ll fight for you" and "safe in my heart".once again essential

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: June 3, 2011 at 9:41
Not saying whether Personally, I think it sucks, but then, I'm not a big fan of this kind of dentist-offce AOR. What I came here to say is, whether you think it's a good album or not, Unusual Heat made barely aripple upon its release. The world, by and large, just was not interested in hearing from warmed-over late-'70's AOR-turned-'80's top-40 acts in 1991. And unlike Styx with Edge Of The Century, Foreigner didn't come up with a clever PR stunt to get airplay, so this disc sank without a trace.

From: pibe Date: November 5, 2012 at 17:26
buen disco

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 25, 2017 at 20:02
Love this Record!!!...i think Johnny Edwards did a great job in here, saw them live on this Tour in Caracas-Venezuela...tracks 1,2,3(solid soft),4,6(my fave),7(solid mid tempo) & 11(also my fave)could be appealing songs for every melodic rocker out there.86/100
