They are back bringing the classic sound that put them on the map with some updated elements...the result is a good cd for the current climate of AOR/Hard Rock. Somewhere the momentum that comes on strong with the opener/lead off single Dont keep Me Waiting seems to peter out somewhere along the way..... |

Yes Fair warning are back!!!! Modern and powerful sound like Four.. |

An enjoyable & solid comeback CD from the Kings of German MHR. However, enjoyable & solid aren't words I'd usually use to describe F.W. 2 killer openers raise expectations, but the momentum is lost with some decent-but-unspectacular songs before the mighty 'Generation Jedi' kicks it up a notch. Tracks 8-11 are all strong, before it tails-off again. Great performances & I love the keys, but those huge catchy choruses are not evident. Great to see them back, but they can do better than this. 8/10. |

Well, if even Tim (2) ain't sold by this, was there really ever a chance for me? The maths is pretty simple here. If you loved their previous albums you'll love this, if you didn't, this isn't going to turn you. I couldn't find any killer cuts on '4', and for me, can't find them here either. Consistent, but I'm still not into the overall sound of these guys and I could just as easily pass on most these songs. if I had to pick, the opener is probably my pick. |

Fair Warning have been for me the best discovery after radio or Television. The greatest melodick rock band of the last decade. After an awesome debut the most great cd that shocked myself were'Rainmaker'and'Go!',I think I'll never feel what I felt like these cds'.I don t want to be so critique but this new cd is another forgettable reunion as many others. My rate is 6/10(refered to their previous cds'). |
From: z4roxx | Date: December 29, 2006 at 13:40 |
Production is weak, the only good songs here are'Generation Jedi','Tell me lies','The cry','The way',the bonus'Still I believe'was the Japanese bonus in their previous'4'cd,in effect is the best song of this very poor cd.Fair Warning will remain my fave Godz in the genre but this one is not good.As drummer I don t understand the CC Behrens way of playing,I think it's better a drum machine sometimes'' |

Good cd, plenty of musicianship here, the material is not always as consistent, but some great tracks nevertheless. Rainbow Eyes is my personal fav (great harmony vocals), with The Cry in second position. |

In agreement with YNGWIEVIKING & z4roxx(in some statements) comments...the best track for me is "Rainbow Eyes" plus some others like "Don't Keep Me Waiting","In The Dark"(nice),"No Limit","The Way"(catchy),"Once Bitten Twice Shy","All I Wanna Do" & "Push Me On"...AOR with modern touches...ummmm...dunno...85/100 |
