This is a wonderful debut of a project that i hope it could last for more than one release as the members of it are pretty busy guys in their own bands...the only issue is that some songs sound very Journey-ish probably because the head of this is Deen Castronovo and if they change that in a second coming it would be awesome as these guys are top notch musicians...anyway most of the tracks are pretty worth the effort put on them(1,2,3,6,7(nice),8,9,10,12,13,14 & 15)...the B/T's with slightly different modificatios(13,14 & 15)are as i've just stated pretty worth the effort...recommended stuff...94/100

wow, this one is a really classic, amazing line up, with journey members arnel pineda, neal schon featured on some songs and the powerhouse trio doug aldrich, jack blades, and deen castronovo..--well so what can people expect from this project??well first a great solid melodic hard rock album with a really early 90's feel, great songs very journey-whitesnake-house of lords flavour, deen is an amazing singer, doug is a wild fast vibratto freak just like a younger jonh sykes..not calling you a old man john, love your playing!! well also featured jack blade mister damn yankes, night ranger a very skilled and talented musician, again i'm 40 years old and i love music,i grew up listening to all these bands and seeing they still do amazing music just makes me feel very happy..ps check track 5 way to the sun with 2 versions, diferent solo guitar, neal comes with a classy sustained ,fast ,melodic solo, his signature the other by doug have a wild solo with his natural speed and wild picking all wrapped in a

hats off to mr del vecchio who is the brain of this project.he also play keyboards, produce the album and write the majority of the songs.allessandro is a workaholic and a genius.members of journey, bad english ,hardline night ranger , damn yankees in the same project?it s a dream for all a o r lovers of this planet.deen castronovo is a master behind his drums ,but here he is so the singer.what beautiful voice ,he have, closed to steve perry.it s amazing.this record is brilliant ,very solid, very consistant.only killer songs on this cd,all with a delicious journey s influence.absoluty no fillers.track 5 "way to the sun" is my fave.this song will be certainly the best song of 2015.the songs are varied and are all top class a o r.the japan import is a shm cd(japanese technology ),and have 4 bonus tracks.the same than on deluxe edition and more an acoustic version of "don t walk away".2015 start well i ve adding in my collection maverick, white widdow, moonland, issa and.....revolution saints.

As with any Doug Aldrich project this album was one I expected to likeÖ.having spun thru it a couple of times I quickly realized this is nothing like any of the projects Doug has been on before. I like the blazing guitars Doug is exemplified thru on his previous efforts. This a slab of nice AOR/melodic rock no doubt but it doesnít border hard rock stage I love from Doug. I look for the hints of Castronovo and Blades here but I distinctively hear Alessandro Del Vecchio throughout this release. The players are not the sum of the music on this release. I donít really find any stamp of any of the musicians on this album but some great musicians who play music to perfection even if itís not theirs. With the musicians involved you would expect no less. My favorite songs from this one are Locked Out of Paradise and Strangers To This Life. Itís to be noted this album is way loaded down with ballads which while they are not bed there are simply to many of them. SoÖwhile the music itself is soli

Nice insight by the TRIPPLE "M" "The players are not the sum of the music" as I could have not said it better. Every musician has their niche of what they can bring to the table in a band. IMO Doug Aldrich sounds like he's playing guitar with one hand behind his back, as he's out of his wheel-house. This is a competent AOR release by the numbers, but the musicians involved blend in more than they stand out. This band reminds me of another genre mismatch with the players involved as I was expecting more with "L.R.S. - Down to the Core ((2014) w/ Michael Shotton (VON GROOVE). Just because you can play AOR/MR doesn't mean you should.

From: the rocker Date: May 26, 2015 at 11:38
I think this is a great album. Way better than the L.R.S. of last year(which I didn't find to be to bad). Hard AOR at it's best. Side projects( or whatever you want to call them) are supposed be/sound at least a little different than their(the players)regular gigs. I have no problem with this album(maybe too many ballads) Locked Out Of Paradise is my favorite of the album. I highly recommend!

Good album, can see why it's on many folks Best of 2015 list. My only slight complaint is the "Del Vecchio" influence. The Saints are three AMAZING talents, with Del Vecchio though, the sound is a bit "fabricated." Aldrich and Blades are restrained; they need to rip it up to shine.

From: nobycane74 Date: January 29, 2017 at 11:56
Alessandro Del Vecchio and his band of merry-men (Blades, Aldrich & Castronovo) produces and delivers a huge album here in the vein of classic AOR/Melodic Rock for any fan of Journey. This could be (well many tracks) very well labeled a Journey album and fans would embrace this whole heatedly. A little heavy on the ballads, but the rocking tracks make up for it. Despite all the controversy with Castronovo, this album could have been easily deemed a classic for all times...but the controversy with Castronovo has created an album that might be lost in history for future listeners. Too bad this band/project could have easily continued on with much love and anticipation for a long time. HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: #1,2,3,5,9,10,11. MY RATING: 90/100.
