I've been hearing some really good things about this album. I have their first 3 albums but didn't get the last one... but I have seen a few reviews that state Glenn Hughes is amazing as always. Would be interested to see what some of the big posters here like Doghouse or Charpenay might think of this new release?

hello auslander.i ve listen this record on you tube.you have to know that at the base i m not a big fan of this band, even if i ve see them in concert in lyon there is 3 or 4 years.it was a very very great concert.here at my taste it s better with glen hugues wich is an extraordinary singer.but there music is too much sometimes influenced seventies.fans of led zeppellin will love this record.at my eyes this record is like their others records too much irregular.it s only my advice.greetings from france.

I jumped online as well. First impressions, I like it. But I am a huge Doug Aldrich fan, so am biased. I recall hearing the premise of DD is allowing for band turnover, which gives natural changes in style and sound. Hughes, the latest addition, for example, a unique vocalist, and being a bassist, even more dynamic.

Just clicking on Doug Aldrich's name above and you'll see how many quality outfits he has been in. The guy is an all-star! Good call Doug.

Sorry guys, I got nothin'. For some reason, I just never got into this band. They're perfectly fine and enjoyable, but they don't touch me, I guess you could say. And Doug Aldrich is indeed great. I met him briefly (I had a coworker who was friends with him from way back), and he's super-nice. But yes, click on his name and you'll see not only all the bands he's been in, but also the TYPES of bands he's in. He's a journeyman. He's the Joe Lynn Turner of the guitar. There's just something about these supergroup/"project" bands that leaves me a little cold. Maybe I just need to approach them from a different angle.

I love this album. Yes, it sounds like a great Glen Hughes solo album, but the musicianship is excellent, the songs are catchy and the production is solid. The cover of the Humble Pie classic "30 days in the hole" is brilliant. Most importantly it puts a big smile on my face when I listen to it. What's not to like? 9/10

Second comment after getting this CD. Good album, but do wish Deen took on some lead vocals on a few songs. He's such a good singer, IMO.
