What a band. This in my opinion was the best all around album these guys did.The other 2 are awesome,I JUST THINK THIS ONE IS AWESOMER.

From: T-BONE Date: April 30, 2002 at 8:35
Another one of those bands that got overlooked. These guys had alot of talent. If you threw Journey, Survivor, Night Ranger, and April Wine into a melting pot...you'd end up with these guys.

From: Carl D Date: May 14, 2002 at 11:46
This is the best of collection. The first album is magnificent , outta hand goes down hill a little bit but Fuel to the fire is a monster of an album. Both Curran and Dixon have released solo albums but they are not apatch on Coney. I think that Carl Dixon even toured and recorded with April Wine a few years ago but I may be wrong.

From: Carl D Date: May 14, 2002 at 11:48
Sorry above comment should have been in BEST OF THREE.

From: oldyett Date: June 26, 2002 at 22:22
saw these guys live in 83 with maiden and axe, this is a very good release, yet the self-titled 1st lp is essential for all serious hard/melodic rock enthusiasts!!!

BUENO PERO ME QUEDO CON EL FRICTION 1985

From: ace Date: February 12, 2003 at 9:16
My first concert ever was with these guys, Iron Maiden and Fastway. Great show.

From: vince Date: February 28, 2003 at 17:45
the only shitty band that Canada ever created.....AVOID THESE GUYS!!!

From: Stevo Date: May 6, 2003 at 16:58
there's no accountng for taste vince, which you dont seem to have, great album from a great band....check it out guys/gals

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 15, 2003 at 8:53
Fantastic, number one. It's not their best, in my opinion, but still a great record from a fantastic band ! And Vince, I think you don't know what you're saying ! This is a class band !!! Period !!! Buy their albums, don't listen to Vince, he's so wrong !

From: Carl Dixon Date: September 2, 2003 at 9:35
Hey Gang Carl Dixon here. Thanks for the nice comments about OUTA HAND, but you should know that any CD's out there are BOOTLEGS! I've been asking Anthem Records for years to let me do an official release with bonus tracks but they are slow to move so far. Heads up!

From: Knuckles Date: October 29, 2003 at 9:03
If you are in deed Carl Dixon, and due to the chance Anthem records visits this site,GIVE THE MAN THE RIGHT TO RELEASE THIS. If you dont want to release it,sell me the rights to do it. It makes zero sense that this has not been released on cd long ago.

From: Brian Mc Date: November 20, 2003 at 22:17
Carl, good job getting Kim Mitchell to produce the proverbial 'rabbit outta the hat' on your 1st lp. Coney Hatch are an awesome rocking outfit. 'Outta Hand' is good! Now Vince, if Coney are indeed the only shitty band from Canada you should use a capitol S giving proper distinction. You can't be serious! Did the road crew get your girl in '82? If so I understand. There's nothing in their music that remotely sounds 'shitty'. Hey Anthem, you can't make money if the cd's aren't out there!

From: John Date: February 6, 2004 at 1:40
Is it possible to get 'outa hand' on CD? I want to get 'love games' on CD. Someone help me.

From: AOR freaky Date: February 6, 2004 at 4:44
Dear John, yes, this fantastic CD is available on CD ! You can easily get it on Ebay, and even a lot of internetshops (I think the mighty AOR Heaven, or Schmanker-Records etc.) have it. Go for it! Success ! Coney Hatch was a great act, h' !

From: anamal Date: February 6, 2004 at 5:12

From the words of Carl Dixon above - 'Never been released on cd apart from boots' - the man should know i think!!!! about time it was released officially though - great album.

From: varmit Date: March 15, 2004 at 4:09
this needs to b on cd for 'to far gone ' alone. How the hell did they leave that off Best of Three???????????

From: rass Date: March 20, 2004 at 14:31
c.hatch...way ahead of the times.maybe what dokken should have been

From: teedup2rock Date: April 1, 2004 at 1:29
Confused: I have 3 cd's by CH. All purchased in Canada, brand new at Tower Records years ago. All show Anthem Records logo, address etc. The Best of 3 has Sony as distributor. If these were boots, someone set themselves up for way too much trouble back then. Even the liner notes from best of 3 show Carl Dixon as Executive Producer and his (and the band's) personal thanks. Perhaps the above is not Carl after all. Unconfused: these guys kicked it hard and too well to have not made it huge.

From: teedup2rock Date: April 1, 2004 at 1:33
Sorry, cd's were purchased at Virgin Records (in Vancouver BC).

From: Rockhead Date: April 1, 2004 at 4:16
Hi teedup-The first, third and best of were all officially released-Outa hand has never been officially released. I have spent many months verifying this one.

From: Nick C Date: January 28, 2005 at 14:29
It's a real pity this hasn't been officially released on CD all the tracks are excellent and Max Normans production (was it Max ? I'm at work and my copy isn't to hand at the moment) is excellent. To Feel That Feeling Again is a fantastic ballad and remains one of my favourite Hatch songs (I love the line in it that goes 'Threw some stones at a Chevy's old bones'). Some one release this now .. over to you Escape??

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 16, 2005 at 20:32
este si es algo regular no tan bueno como sus otros dos y destaco a Don't Say Make Me como el mejor tema, el siguiente album si que es lo maximo.

From: swriter Date: August 27, 2005 at 15:19
i seen the debut get a cd release, but for me, this is much better, more in the aor category, great stuff, First Time, Shake it, Hot, Love games, a good one

From: AOR freaky Date: August 29, 2005 at 3:40
swriter, Coney Hatch was a FANTASTIC band, but this is the weakest of their three releases ! The debut is CLASSIC hardrock and the third (Friction) is a mix of AOR and hardrock, but both are IMO head and shoulders above this one !

From: Geoff Date: October 15, 2005 at 3:22
I guess if the debut's your thing you'd not have a bad thing to say about this one either. Overall I probably prefer the debut, though 'First time' is my favourite song off the 2 discs. I'm still not into this basic, straight ahead hard rock approach, but I'd bet AC/DC and ZZ Top fans lap this up.

Rock Candy Re-issue out now plus 3 bonus tracks - 'Nobody Gives You', 'Your Kinda Love' & 'Fly On' (Demo). Sound is excellent, packaging excellent, Music Phenomenal. All Re-issues should be done like this!!!!

From: Remastered Reason Date: February 21, 2006 at 0:00
The first 6 tracks are the best & serve as both rockers & ballads. Carl Dixon sounds a little tired on vocals with these tunes but still overall a good disc. Now newly Remastered with bonus tracks.

From: FraNu Date: October 14, 2006 at 8:46
I was always wondering why I don't like this one so much. Compared to the first one the drums are more than boring.- Totally uninspired!! Maybe the drummer was asleep during the recording time. Listen to records carfully and you find out the the guy plays on most songs the some rhythm with hardly any breaks.

From: lalorock Date: August 25, 2007 at 12:22

From: hair metal again Date: August 31, 2011 at 9:40
2nd step for the CONEY HATCH back in 83 and surely not as good as their debut.Max Norman in production and a bigger budget available but it seems that there wasnt much inspiration at that time cause the songs arent as catchy as needed.dont get me wrong OUTA HAND is a good release but i expected more.the musicianship is very good and especially the guitar work!my favs are "first time for everything","to feel the feeling again","love games" and "music of the night".

From: rick kerch vzla Date: September 2, 2011 at 22:39
More or less in the same line as the debut but a bit better IMHO...best cuts for me are "Don't Say Make Me","First Time For Everything"(nice mid tempo),"Some Like It Hot","Love Games" & "Music Of The Night"(great!)...82/100
