If you like her previous two albums, as I do, you should listen before you buy this one as it's not at all in the same vain as "Trouble or Nothin'" and "Human Instinct", more of a Soul album as I remember it. Had it years ago and sold it as I didn't like it.

Not as good as the previous 2, but worth having for the stunning ballad "Whenever You Close Your Eyes", fabulous stuff. The opener is great too, although not quite as great as Cliff Magness' original. Slightly more fillers than "Human Instinct" but still a very good album, and gets higher than the current 7/10 from me.

"A prayer for Jane" y "Can't get off" mis fav.

fine release by ROBIN BECK once again ,but not as good as her previous ones!i d love to hear those songs more guitar driven ,but anyway i like that things go much commercial here with great songs and a nice smooth vibe all over!"footprints in the rain" ,"strange love" and "don t try to find love" are the highlights .if you like Robin s voice grab it!

This does have a lot of filler on it, about half I'd say. Footprints In The Rain sounds like a left over diamond on the rough track from Wilson Phillips debut album, not surprising though Clif Magness co-wrote "Hold On" for Wilson Phillips and he co-wrote "Footprints In The Rain" as well. I prefer Robin's version over Clif Magness but that's because I'm biased. Magness version is quite good as well, more rock driven. "Close To You" is obviously the stand-out track on this album, if you can get the CD single I recommend listening to the long version of "Close To You". I think the track "If Lovin' You Is Wrong" is another fine track on this album. This is an album for those in love. "Close To You" should have been a wedding song. This album is good, not quite as good as the previous 2 releases but for it being her 4th album it's far from bad. Sweet Talk 1979 (disco influenced), Trouble or Nothing 1989, Human Instinct 1992, Can't Get Off 1994.
