When I first heard about Toseland I was only intrigued by the fact that it was a former World superbike champion on vocals, but wasnt expecting a lot. The first single, Life is beautiful though, I loved. So I bought the EP in 2013 and loved it, even though it was rather short and showed that the funkier sound of Life is beautiful wasnt exactly a true indication of the band, with the other songs being more straight ahead rock. This album thankfully expands on that. The three main tracks from the EP all appear here, and the demo track "Renegade" appears in full electric glory on here rather than the piano lead balladesque demo of the EP. With Toby Jepson producing, its no surprise there is a Little Angels feel to some of the songs, but its more than that as a whole. A bit of Little Angels there, a bit of Tyketto there, some funk in small doses, but a whole lotta rock. Truly a surprise how good this album is.

The EP. promised much and I can gladly report that the full album delivers...big time. loads of great riffs and hooky choruses, topped off with James' really decent vocals, a good tight band and Toby Jepson's production, this is a really very very good indeed.
