This is not bad, but can't compete with real class AOR à la Foreigner, Drive She Said, Boulevard, Signal, I-Ten, Bad English etc. etc. The americans and canadians are the best in this genre and they will always be. Listen also to Mecca, Streets, Fortune, Preview and you will notice the difference in class !

There are some wonderful hummable tracks on this one. The choruses are so memorable. Who can forget the ramble of 'Love Injection', the big chants happening on 'Like An Angel', or the booming anthemic approach of 'Love Hurts'. The pulsing bass lines of 'Dressed To Kill' moves this track very much into the heart of Treat territory.

Can someone help me with this? Am seeing some copies of these 2 CDs about for £35/€50 or so and want to know if either are worth it? Someone above mentioned a Deep Purple comparison, which worried me considerably! Am an AOR fan and love lots of keys in my music, if this is anything like Treat's 'DreamHunter' or Skagarack's 'Hungry For A Game' or 'A Slice of Heaven' then I must have it... Thanks!

Hi ! Here you can buy both DALTON-albums legally for a very good price (around 10-13 Euro): musicbuymail.com ! My favourite album is INJECTION and I just love the tracks: LOVE INJECTION - LOVE HURTS - DRESSED TO KILL. The sound and song structures remind me of FATE very much.

From: TIM (2) |

Thanks for all your comments above, managed to get both CDs at very good prices. 'Injection' is the better CD for me, and 'Lonely' and 'Comin' On Strong' are as good as most tracks from 'Dreamhunter'. The production is a little thin, and the drums sound a bit naff, but agree they sound very much like Fate. Excellent stuff.

According to a good friend of mine who stays on top of this kind of stuff, the CDs that are popping up everywhere are re-issues by EMI Sweden...the company that originally released them. Guess they saw the opportunity to make some good money AND please a lot of music lovers.

From: Scandinavia |

From: Nanteau |

THE RACE IS ON is the '94 reissue but INJECTION is the original one I guess. The intro of 'Lonely' is such stupid and ordinaire it makes it the weakest track, the rest may be very good if you're in melo-rock. But I guess I'm no more... 'cos I don't like it as much as you do. NEVERTHELESS: 7,9/10

A truly perfect example of Scandi melodic hard rock. Like the last disc, 'Go For It!' is a big hard rocking opener, 'Love Injection' and 'Love lie' are examples of killer melodic hard rock, 'Lonely' is a nice ballad, 'Love Hurts' and 'Why don't you love me' are huge melodic rockers, 'Dressed to Kill' is my fave, and an outstanding melodic hard

Very good album, great keyboards, and good vocals. Most previous reviewers have nailed this band. Fans of Fate, Treat, and Europe will most certainly approve. My highlights were "Love Injection," "Like An Angel," "Dressed To Kill," and "Love Lie." The only song I had problems with was "Heartbroken." The keyboard intro was the best part of the track, with the song becoming too slow and too sappy (even for a ballad.) But that one song is certainly tolerable in the context of the album itself.

Ese "love injection" me ha quedado grabado en mi memoria con esos punteos mas que infecciosos, que disfrute! Mejor que el anterior de Dalton IMO. 9/10

Fans of big, polished, hooky melodic HR will love this the way 30 year-old virgins love their life-size love-doll replicas of Jenna Jamison. Some have said the production is subpar, but it sounds like what you'd expect from a hard rock band in 1989. With songs this catchy, vocals this big (reminscent of early Treat), you'd have to be nuts not to grab this one. It just really is one of those essential, not-to-be-missed CDs. Pick this one up and inject some listening pleasure into your stereo.

Some fillers here, but there are also some outstanding tracks. Love Injection and Why Don't You Love Me had me learning them fast and singing them for days, fantastic anthem rockers with big backing vocals. But the real treat for me here is Like An Angel - one of my favorite songs ever. With three songs in my top 750 mp3 playlist, I give this CD high marks!

This 2nd effort is a little more bigger sounding than their first - also just a tad heavier but again just very slightly; maybe it has just a little more drive and energy than the first would be a better way to put it. They matured and put out another good album. Tracks 4-6 standout for me the most but this is filled with good, catchy songs with big sound and choruses. Not sure which album of theirs I like better but I'll give this one just a slightly higher rating 85/100 since it has more songs and a more full, bigger sound.

fantastic release by DALTON back in 89 and this one is a classic swedish hard rock release!great keys, big choruses, fine songs and the music is flawless!"love injection","lonely","dressed to kill" and "why dont you love me" are fantastic songs indeed and DALTON shoulda make it big with this gem!

Absolute class act like Treat, Alien, Roulette. Plenty of keys and standouts "Love Injection", "Lonely", "Comin' on Strong" deserve to be up there with the best of Swedish AOR. Received "The Best of Dalton - 25th Anniversary 1987 - 2012" the other day with 3 unreleased tracks which could easily fit on this album - another must have.
