It’s really unclear how many members were involved with Lakewood, California’s DIZZY BITCH, but I can tell you that they formed back in 1981 as a 4-piece (“Hondo Blackout” v/g & “Tim Tation” b were the founding members although it’s unclear who the other 2 were). Drummer “Johnny Lust” (BLACKSTAR, PLAYGROUND, CREATURE,FIFI LARUE, RANDA + others) would join in 1982 & there’s rumors out there that “Fifi LaRue” may have even been their drummer for some time. They started playing shows in Southern California as well as some of the famous clubs in Hollywood (“Gazzarri’s, & “Whisky A Go Go” amongst others). They apparently played at the infamous Long Beach “Junkyard Party” that people still talk about &”took over” a house in Cerritos, CA. for 3 months (while the girl’s parents were on vacation). The home was turned into a nightclub / band house were they played every weekend until it was eventually destroyed (which they apparently got away with). It’s no surprise that their image on this cove

...cover has been lambasted to no end, although the benefit of the doubt could ever so slightly be given due to the fact that they were one of the early pioneers of the genre. Surprisingly enough the music was much heavier than what one might expect, with numerous influences of bands such as TALKS CHEAP, GLAMOUR PUNKS, PRETTY VACANT, STAR STAR, DIAMOND REXX, PENNY LANE, a rawer/heavier version of PRETTY BOY FLOYD, & even RIPPER in the guitar department. Johnny Lust briefly left the band to join BLACKSTAR but would return in time to record this MLP along with “Hondo Blackout” & “Tim Tation”. He would then leave in 1987 to join CREATURE. The original record was released on the Azra label, that I’ve seen being recently offered for as much as $60.00. This is the first time the release has been issued on CD format (apparently in honor of “Tim Tation” who has since passed away), while also including a bonus track that was a drum solo likely recorded more recently by “Johnny Lust” (although I

...have no further information on that). The music on display was for certain much more promising than the horrific image (supposedly the PLASMATICS were also an influence which would make some sense), but unfortunately most of the attention has gone to the band photo over time.
