really love this new one, i think it's better than the first..but i haven't heard it so much anyway. bormann does a great job and his voice do come out that this could shore be recognized with his band(old band?) Jadded Heart witch is great. buy

From: Geoff Date: November 14, 2004 at 19:47
Agree with Bob here, I think this is better than the excellent debut. Both killer CDs and this 2 in 1 package is sensational. But as for 'II', check out the awesome 'Like the way it is' with it's Casanova debut riff, the awesome 'Everyday and Everytime', the killer 'Dangerous child', 'Somebody's waiting', 'Perfect yesterday'... so many great tracks. Killer CD. My only complaint? I wish Mr Bormann used some other backing vocalists as 3-5 layers of his voice alone is a bit much dare I say?

From: Geoff Date: November 14, 2004 at 19:48
And to clear that up, I love Michael's voice and think he is a rare talent as Rain and Jaded Heart are 2 of my favourite bands, along with Charade. I love hearing him on lead vocals, but a few other guys for harmony / backing vocals would sound killer. No offence to the man himself...

Fantastic album. It's great melodic hard rock at it's best, I love it a lot. If you like Michael Bormann's other band Jaded Heart you will like this too. If you find it, don't let go of it, buy at any price. I give it 9/10.

From: baroqq Date: November 24, 2005 at 12:39
Another excellent released from Mr. Bormann and Mr. Schleifer. Try getting the Japanese released if you have the first one. Recommended

hi-from COSTA RICA,este es otro discazo Y uno de los mejores del 2004 y tras el super discazo que nos dio MICHAEL BORMANN con JADED HEART el fabuloso TRUST.cuando años atras saliera su CHARADE no pensamos que habria una segunda parte. pero aqui esta el CHARADE II,un tanto parecido al I.cortes como IN THE END,LIKE THE WAY IT IS,DANGEORUS CHILD,AMERICAN MAMA son demoledores pero uno de los temas que mas me gusto fue EVERYDAY AND EVERYTIME con su esencia melodica muy a lo JADED HEART me fascina

From: mauricio Date: December 18, 2005 at 13:53
ese tema para mi uno de los mejores del CHARADE II y que decir de FATAL DESTINY rompedora y la lenta de WHEN IT JUST ME AND YOU,la preciosa aor de SOMEBODY S WAITING otro gran corte, siguiendo a CALL OF THE WILD con la marca registrada del CHARADE tambien son buenos los dos ultimos cortes del album PERFECT YESTERDAY & WHY DID YOU TAKE MY PRIDE una buena forma de cerrar la segunda entrega de CHARADE de una manera rockera y estelar.muy guitarrista y super cantante sin lugar a duda tu dinero sera

From: mauricio Date: December 18, 2005 at 13:53

Knowing absolutely nothing about this band before hand except that Michael Bormann was on vocals, I took a chance and bought the two CD set containing both albums. I'm glad I did, but mainly because I felt like there was only one good album's worth of solid material between the two discs. Still 12 out of 22 is a whole lot better average than anything else going on in the music world today.

Wow,thats what i like ! Melodic Hardrock at its best ! Super ! 9/10

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 3, 2007 at 20:33
It is at this point that I am inclined to believe that I will just like or love everything Michael Bormann involves himself with. Another fine, fine piece of AOR that any fan of Jaded Heart, Rain, or Sygnet should lock on to first spin. Mezmerizing and intoxicating as ever, this one begs for repeat listens. Simply stunning and very recomended. Some songs are stronger than others, but there is not a piece of filler in sight. Very solid release!

From: MetalianStallion Date: January 13, 2009 at 3:41
This is Bormann at his peak of powers IMO. If you cherry pick these tracks in this sequence(5,2,14,16,17,18,1,8,12) you would have a stellar release. Some songs have a harder edge(Angel in Hell,Bad Boys) and don't flow with the albums as a whole IMO. From what I understand Angel Schleifer had leftover tracks from Charade I which he felt where strong enough for a Charade II release. So he called Bormann to rework and release them. I'm glad he did as 'Everyday and Everytime' has some of the best lyrics and hooks I have ever heard. A must have.

From: hair metal again Date: April 12, 2011 at 3:44
amazing release by CHARADE.Angel is one hell of a guitar player and always had a commercial hard rock vibe.Bormann is a rare talent ,he writes excellent commercial music full of hooks and big choruses.the result of their project is astonishing guitarish hard rock with fantastic melodies and catchy songs.a must buy for sure.

From: 123charpenay Date: March 22, 2013 at 10:27
one more time i don t understand others comments, even if of course i respect them.for me this second charade s record is exactly in the same vein than their first effort.a brilliant production,a super class singer,3 or 4 fantastics songs who hooked you immediatly ,but the rest.....nothing extraordinary, nothing spectacular.some great songs ,not more ,decent.one bonus track on the japan import.in fact i confirm, redrum, bonfire and jaded heart are far better than charade.in french we says "y a pas photo" traduction litterally "there s no pictures".(french expression).

From: playhogan Date: August 27, 2019 at 23:46
Some great music on this release but Bormann is no where near his best. No vocals even close to the way he sang with Jaded Heart. For me this is just very average.

From: MetalllianStallion Date: September 11, 2019 at 5:55
@playhogan "Some great music on this release" "For me this is just very average". Well which one is it? Speaking of Jaded Heart Bormann is doing the " Micheal Bormann's Jaded Heart' tour (sole surviving member) in (2019). He's been absent of new projects in recent years.
