I'm embarrassed to say I had no idea who these guys were until I listened to the HH Vol. 2 that Dan put together with the title track on it. Since then I've been searching around to get everything I can by them. It's really well balanced like Wido says, got just enough of everything instrumental plus great songwriting.

It's very hard for me not to compare this to Accept since both are german and of course, Herman Frank. I'd say Accept has more melody than this band BUT the over all sound of this album is soooooo much better than anything Accept has done. This band has more power and musicianship. Only in the song writing department this band cannot equal Accept.

Another masterpiece from Victory! First five tracks are so good connected together, that seems those good melodies and catchy tunes just keeps coming and coming... A must have for melodic hard rock lovers and good music listeners. Three last tracks are live versions from 'Culture...' Very highly recommended!

Can anyone tell me, does the song 'The 9th of November' refer to some historical incident..? And if so, which is that?

Sons of bitches! Bastards! If it is so good, why it is not found in MP3 over the Internet? Suckers! Enjoy this album :-)

Hot damn I love this album. So good I had to comment on it one more time. Victory's rapidly become a regular in my CD player, between this and Culture Killed the Native. I think the songwriting's slightly better on this one, but they're both rock solid albums and not real expensive either, especially 'Culture' which can be had used for as low as $0.75, you just can't beat that...

This is an answer to 'visitor' that wrote on 23th of september. In fact '9th of november' is a date when nazis made one of the greatest massacres to the judish people during the 2nd world war. If you (or any one else) want to mail me to talk about this great band (VICTORY)be my guest. mail:aruiaslopes@oninet.pt

For 15 tracks you get maximum value for money. It's gung-ho Euro metal of the finest sort, and one of the better releases of the genre for the year.

Everyone keeps saying this is better than Culture Killed The Native. I have to disagree. 7/10

From the band that knew not how to write a filler, we have more bliss here. The best ballad ever recorded (Or damn close!) is featurd here in form of 'Fighting back the tears' - rockin' solo and all, 'Backseat rider', 'Standing like a rock' and 'Take the pace' are all killer slabs of perfect melodic hard rock and basically, the album is so close to flawless it hurts. Such a brilliant band. Did I mention I love 'em!!!

Indeed one of their best cd.'El toro loco'is by far the best Victory singer as ever, but I am not a big fan of him, great screaming and impressive but I like more a little'clean'voice.I am not agree about he sing with Wicked Sensation. The voice is not right for their kind of music,IMO.Their new cd is better than the debut but the singer of the debut is better than F.Garcia,IMO(I speak about music style, sounds and voice puttin'in the mix).

Fantastic cd by a Fantastic band! Do yourself a favor and get everything you can from this band! Everything they have put out is pure rock n roll heaven as far as I am concerned. Get out your air guitars, grow your hair back out(if you can)and as Track 8 says ROCK the neighbors! Not a filler here to be found. I have everything from this band and every rock n roller should also! A MUST for your collection!

This should be in any metal heads cd collection!!And like Geoff said above Fighting back the tears is probably the best ballads ever written, so much emotion and kick-ass axework!!! You will be fighting back the tears if you don't add this puppy to your collection!! In a word Brilliant!!

A blast! a must to have album!..all tracks are killer ones!...I've always believed that Fernando Garcia brought energy and power to Victory while he was the lead singer of this German band (Fernando was born in Spain)this one and Culture Killed The Native are fantastic albums indeed...Charlie Huhn is a great vocalist for sure and has always been Victory's main man but Fernando is just a "crazy bull"(toro loco in spanish)that's his nickname by the way...a hell of a frontman and singer...i'm not the kind of person that rates an album a 100 (it has to be something out of this world)but this Temples Of Gold deserves it 4 sure so..100/100!!!!
