Good live album with many of their classics. A real buy or die release for their old fans. Specialy the FERNANDO GARCIA el TORRO fans will love this live double cd. Only one bad thing:THE DONT PLAY MY FAVE VICTORY SONG EVER, "ARE YOU READY". Sad but true. |

Pretty rare disc ?? Seems to be very hard to find unfortunately.Wouldn't mind hearing it as it probably does crank. |

Well...The band absolutely crank! They kill live! The dealbreaker for me were Garcia's vox...too much of a thick accent ? A tad whiney ? A matter of personal taste i guess. This indeed is a rare disc as it took quite awhile to secure a copy. |

I would have to disagree with Metal T as when Charlie Huhn was replaced by Fernando Garcia as the front man on vocals this was a deal-maker, elevating the band to the next level. Exhibit A is Victory's first release (and best) with Garcia, "Culture Killed the Native (1989)" His Spanish accent (while singing) is barely noticeable to me, as I have heard much worse from other singers. As far as this concert release it's got a nice energy and flow of a live show, and sounds cut from a few different performances in the same time period. I would have loved to have heard "Fighting Back the Tears" from "Temples of Gold (1990)" live. A strange anomaly I can't recall seeing before is on CD-1 track #3 "No Way Tonight" from "You Bought It - You Name It (1992)" is also played live on CD-2 #21. Same song listed twice on the artwork and played twice live by the band from 2 different shows. Chalk this up to laziness for the record company not to catch that and add a different live song. |
