I saw these guys Oct 2012 supporting Reckless Love and was reasonably impressed with them, but its always hard to form a solid opinion on a bands songs hearing them only once in a small London club. But they obviously interested me enough to preorder their debut EP, and holy shit am I happy I did. The only song that I sort of remembered from the gig was Relive the ride, but strangely its neither their best or catchiest song (I think its cause they made a point of announcing it as it was their current single). Falling is such an amazing song, and easily my favourite on the disc, but there is not a bad song on here. If I had to describe them to someone I would defo have to throw in Journey as at least a partial reference point, but they dont exactly sound like them. Its just catchy old school 80s style rock with a modern twist. That only thing that sucks about this disc is that it isnt a full album. 5 songs just isnt enough. |
