This is more of the same,and that should appeal to fans of hard-driving,80s style hard rock,as this disc picks up right where their 1st one left off.Unlike many bands who try to "update" their sound when they release a new cd these days,McQueen St. stuck to what works for them,with good results.I enjoy the majority of the songs here,but "Psychosis","Strange Dreams",& "White Junk Monkey" are my favorite rockers,while "What About Jane" & "The Last Breath" are very good power ballads.Check 'em out!

This is the best CD I've bought in the last year! A friend of mine saw them live and told me about the McQueen Street Web site so I took a chance and picked it up. World Machine completely blew me away the first time I heard it. What About Jane is a great ballad with alot of emotion. In short, a great bunch of songs with great lyrics and smoking players. If you're a rocker you'll love it. If you're Justin Timberlake or a boy band fan it probably won't be your bag. Highly recommended!!

"Strange Dreams" is a song that has been stuck in my head since hearing it on their website--very cool stuff. But I went to order their cd and they don't have secure checkout so I had to pass. Anywhere else I might find this??

Yeah, Strange Dreams is a great song. I'm kind of digging Fear The Nightime and I Don't Understand You. Both are killer songs. By the way BC & BT I ordered the CD over a month ago and had no problems with the order form. A friend of mine used their fax form which is secure. I think there's a link on their order form just in case you wanted to know.

Just got it! Fuckin-A AWESOME! Sadly I have to agree with the negative comments about the sound and the packaging. But considering it's self-released I can excuse those little anomalies. Derek's voice is in true form, and as Whiplash says, they stuck with what they know...and at the risk of sounding incredibly corny...what they know is how to rock! If you liked the first, you WILL like this one too. Trust me...

The sound quality of my CD is killer. I picked it up 3 days ago and I can't seem to quit listening to it. It's definitely a no-frills package but so is Back In Black and I guess I have always subscribed to the Joe Perry theory of "let the music do the talking". Two thumbs up on this one!!

Explosive CD. This should make them huge in N.A. but it probably won't....people still can't get enough Linkin Park and hip hop shit to notice a great rockin' album like this.

Hey bro, I'm with you. This CD is great. And yeah, there's a bunch of hip hop crap and other stuff polluting the airwaves these days but I really think this will take off sooner or later with or without MTV, VH1, or the radio. In my opinion it's one of those CDs that you can't keep down. It's just that good. I'm just happy I own a copy.

If you don't like this album you are not a fan of attitude driven "power rock". From start to finish this album will kick your ass. The last time I bought an album that excited me to this degree was Skid Row's "slave to the grind". Have 13 years really passed since their first album? It doesn't sound like it. Not only is this an excellent follow up album, it could be argued that it is better than the first album, musically (minus the production quality).

Love this CD! World Machine rocks as hard as anything I've ever heard. McQueen Street 1 has always been one of my all-time favorites but this one blows me away. Great songs, great band, great CD.

You would never know that there was a decade between recordings. Sounds like it was just released. Great come back for these guys. It would be nice to see them get some airplay in today's crap-filled market. If you like the Late 80's/early 90's sound or were a fan of their first, it's a must have.

I finally picked this up and like everyone else has mentioned 2 picks up right where their S/T left off. Well written, well performed songs are found throughout. "Strange Dreams" is still my fav track here. "Psychosis" is also a very cool song. A couple minor points: the packaging has been mentioned - not a real big deal, the cd runs a little long, and some of the songs tend to get a little preachy. This is a great album regardless and if you liked the 1st you will like this also.

As seems to be the general opinion here, this is along the exact same lines as the debut. A couple of the songs even have a similar execution (One sounds very similar to 'Only the wind' but I forget off the top of my head), but overall there are a few bigger riffs here and some driving hard rockers and as a complete album I'd probably say it's a little more consistent than the debut. Either way, two very good CDs and a great band.

I didn t want to buy this one because I thought it was modern…Wow!!I am glad for my purchase,really great second cd,awesome as their debut!Not a single or modern riff,just great old hard rock/sleaze in their own way…only negative point is the poor quality artwork and cd,a self-released cd-r,but my rate is very high!I think these are old tracks wrote in the middle of 90’s.

This is kind of like their other album, same style. Being a proud Pagan I could have done without the anti-heathen comments in "The Journey" but to each his own I guess

More of the same from McQueen Street, and that's a good thing. The band barrels down the same hard rock road they traveled on their first outing, albeit with a slightly darker edge and rawer production. Nothing here quite matches the heavenly hair metal heights of "My Religion" from the debut, but the songs are all very solid, laced with attitude, and packed with razor-edged hooks. The CD packing is about as low-rent as a skid row basement flat, but what really matters is the music, and the music is good. Better poor packaging with great tunes than great packaging with poor tunes. Bottom line, McQueen Street's 2nd effort was a rockin' success...bring on a 3rd!

excellent 2nd step by the great MC QUEEN STREET right there from where the debut stopped!kick ass guitar driven hard rock tunes with much attitude and groove and some great songs like "world machine","white junk monkey" and "i don t understand you"!i am born n raised in US commercial hard rock music of the golden era 86-92 and if you dig that you won t be disappointed !
