Very cool cd. Got all the glam/sleaze you could ask for. Recommended.

From: HG Date: February 16, 2002 at 20:24
Killer CD. Singer has a lot more of a glam sound than on his LA Guns appearance. I remember these guys from Metal Edge's "Rock on the Rise," and it's just a shame that grunge was the flavor of the month by the time this one came out.

From: TIM Date: April 30, 2002 at 20:13
I saw this at a local pawn shop, but passed it up because of excessive scratching. But, if these guys recommend it, I'll run it through my buffer and give it a spin. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

From: TIM Date: May 6, 2002 at 18:31
I got it today and wasn't disappointed. These guys rock!

From: Desslar Date: May 7, 2002 at 1:17
Well, it's not bad, but you've heard it all before. Whiskey is a cool song, and the rest just kind of blends together.

From: TIM Date: May 7, 2002 at 11:44
They ripped off quite a few bands, but they have some fun stuff. You can hear bits of Motley Crue, G'N'R', and others.

From: Splash Date: May 11, 2002 at 17:28
Too bad this band didn't hit in 1988! Holy shite does this album kick ass! Sounds a lot like Britney Fox. I want Glam Rock to comeback with avengence!!!!!!!!!

From: jarett r. Date: September 4, 2002 at 11:08
i've heard that chris van dahl was in cherry st.

From: The Fizzy One Date: September 15, 2002 at 21:23
I have an album of theirs called X-Rated that came out last year. I got it for free to review for another website, and ... well ... these guys don't just wear their influences an their sleeves, but more smeared all over their faces. I dunno about this CD, but the one I have is VERY AC/DC-ish, right down to the twangy open-A plucking and Brian Johnson pre-20-years-of-smoking vocals.

From: "rick and scott Date: October 15, 2002 at 0:10
chris van dahl was in chery st back in the days - used to call himself roxy dahl after his grand mother roxy - tom taz or roxy if you remember me from the old days roadying to SF at the stone or hollywood days email ma at dartguy@earthlink.net taz you remember scott from little ceasars and me

From: RichieRocker Date: March 23, 2003 at 0:12
From Hearing the samples on this album it sounds very intense and kick ass!! I was wondering if anybody knew who the vocalist was? he' is very good.

From: Blue Tequila Date: March 23, 2003 at 2:02
Found this on GoHastings.com but I don't know how accurate it is. The line-up they have for this album is Roxy Dahl (vocals); Taz Bangz, Tom Monroe (guitar); Redd Rosell (bass); Kelly James (drums)

From: Jayglam Date: April 9, 2003 at 5:27
Not a bad CD but not up with the great glam bands. Roxy sounds similar to Dizzy Dean from Britny fox. Best songs would be No doubt about, Jenn and the ballad sure was fine. In the middle of sure was fine it sounds Like axel rose is singing a few lines or roxy can change his voice very well. Jay from Australia.

From: Gar Date: May 31, 2003 at 22:39
Pretty typical sleaze metal, but a lot of fun anyway. Hard to believe its the same singer that stunk up LA Guns' AMERICAN HARDCORE.

From: Jenn Date: February 2, 2004 at 4:29
Great CD. I used to have it years ago, but it broke. Great Guys, especially Tom Monroe.

From: tomcat Date: March 10, 2004 at 17:04
'sure was fine' is like a song from guns n roses during their 'lies' period..very cool tune..my faves are 'mary go around' and 'whiskey' but also 'jenn if ya got the money'..i got a tape called hollywood rehearsals with songs like 'nasty reputation' and 'comes around goes around' which is very good..

From: the authority Date: March 23, 2004 at 22:52
This is quite possibly the worst band I have ever heard...EVER! The riffs are uninspired, the lyrics are "totally gay" and the vocalist can't even get it together long enough to stay in key. Axl Rose impersonator, with 5th grade education, lyrically challenged at best! I am grateful this shite never got released to the general population.

From: Shawnda Date: June 12, 2004 at 1:20
"Authority": This band was not full of mainstream sell-outs. I don't think they were the best best in the world, far from it in my opinion. I was lucky enough to hang out witht them many times and just enjoy some kick ass rock n' roll. Sometimes it's just about having a good time. This band was about just that. I always had a great time when I heard them play. Everyone has their own opinion, but DUDE, LIGHTEN UP!

From: koogles Date: July 8, 2004 at 12:00
Your standard police issue L.A. Guns gift-wrapped with some Axl Rose-scented candles and ready to "Johnny Crash" your next party. Very similar to Britny Fox's debut as well as Dirty Looks and Kix, Cherry St. are highly typical of their glam/sleaze species, with "Whisky" and "Ring Around the Rosie" being everything their titles promise, and more.

From: Geoff Date: March 7, 2005 at 7:11
I don't like these kinds of vocals, but the musicianship here is very nice - killer sound, and some of the songs are nice slabs of glam / sleaze. 'Ring around Rosie' and 'Speak no evil' are awesome, but for me there was no competition as 'Mary goes round' was, to me, clearly the show stealer. That song blew my mind for years and was in my top 10 songs ever for about 5 years. Still right up there, but many more to compete with. Killer hard rock track and 'No doubt about' and 'Jenn' are cool too.

From: Rene Date: April 17, 2005 at 16:33
The thinger sound like the first singer of BRITNY FOX. Very good cd.

From: Missing the 70's Date: December 8, 2005 at 13:26
Not as good as most glam bands

From: Rhodeislandrock Date: December 16, 2005 at 13:04
Not great but pretty good Glam/Sleaze. A little too GnR/LA Guns for me but what else are you going to get in 1993? Fave tracks here: Sure Was Fine, Mary Goes Round, & Whisky. I'll checl out the rest of their albums.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: February 27, 2006 at 23:07
For fans of sleaze-tinged hair-metal, this CD will be as enjoyable as licking the freshly-waxed bikini line of the world's hottest supermodel. This is the kind of CD that you can drive around with the car window down and let it blast from the stereo so everyone can hear the hard rockin' guitars, raunchy riffs, & 'tude-laced vox. The band squeezes out every cliche in the book, but does so with enough style to make you overlook their heard-it-all-before vibe and just enjoy the rock n' roll ride.

From: SapoMalo Date: April 26, 2022 at 16:55
Just wanted to point out, that this cd has the same tracks, with different listing, of their first cd, plus a couple of extra tracks. Not a full second album, more a re-release of the debut...

From: Palash Date: May 29, 2023 at 14:11
Voice is like Britny Fox and Tornado Babies.
