Anyone who's looking for Triumph music for the first time should begin by this record, it's their best, very well-ballanced 70's Hard Rock with 80's Commercial/Heavy Metal. Check out the title track, Fight The Good Fight, Say Goodbye and Fool For Your Love.

Great canadian band and sadly missed. All their records are of a very high level ! Bands as this are no longer made these days !!!!!! Idem with the mighty BTO and Uriah Heep. Dinosaurs with more class in the top of one finger than all these modern today bands together !!

This is one of the greatest Hard Rock albums ever! Best Tracks are magic power, fight the good fight and the Journey-like Say Goodbye

The best TRIUMPH album for sure! Fight The Good Fight and Magic Power are the best songs I've heard from this band. This is a CLASSIC.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK. this is a good cd. I freak out every time I hear the awesome playing.9/10 .............The 9 is because Emmets voice can get annoying. Apart from that its FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOking good

I can't believe how few comments there are for this smoker of an album. To me this was their apex, it didn't get any better than this after it (although it came close). Also good are Progressions of Power, Just a Game, and Never Surrender. After that I really thought they started gradually moving to more of an AOR sound than a hard rock band. Great live band too, still remember 2nd row on the Thunder Seven tour...Rik Emmett's an ass-kicker.

This is indeed a FANTASTIC band, Blue Charvel ! But I like all their albums, no weak among 'em. Maybe 'Rock 'N Roll Machine' is their best, but they are all great ! A shame they seem to hate each other now ! Don't know if it's true, but it would be sad ! Anyway, I enjoy all their work ! Great, great canadian act !!!!

The animosity is Moore & Levine versus Emmett. Emmett wanted out while Moore & Levine wanted to keep it going. Emmett also claims that he shared songwriting credits on tunes he wrote by himself in order to keep harmony in the band. His bitterness stems from the fact this blunder cost him a shitload of money in royalties over the years; he found it was better emotionally to eat the losses rather than drag things out in court. This band will NEVER reunite unless fistfights are part of the show...

Great album by a great band from my homeland. Can't really add to what's already been said, but did you know this album was recently certified Platinum in the U.S.? www.riaa.com

From: Ordinary Man Date: February 28, 2004 at 10:12
This album was a major turning point for the band. It is simply AWESOME! One of the all time greatest rock albums of all time. I remember back in grade 10 when this album came out. I had the album cover painted on the back of my jean jacket and walked down the hallway with this album in the guetto blaster just CRANKED...VERY PROUD!!!

From: uusiolli Date: August 15, 2004 at 18:35
A nice album. Fool for Your Love is my favourite. Some Rush influences shines through throughout the bands history. 8/10

From: TomSawYa Date: December 7, 2004 at 13:03
Nothinīs cool in this album, everything is extremely H O T !!!! I like the title track and especially Ordinary man, a real poetic ballad with that speedy-guitar-running-down-part. Where have all the good bands gone ???

I remember fishing in Salmon Creek (a little spot in my home town) with my buddies on a hot summer day before my 8th. grade year with the 'cool,' older kids horsing-around at the lake just a short distance away and blasting from there stereo boombox was something that stomped on my memory cortex and has been with me ever since... The sweet sound of TRIUMPH - ALLIED FORCES! This is a s good as early 80's rock gets!

From: Lennie Date: June 3, 2005 at 4:49
Classic album. 'Fight the Good Fight' and 'Magic Power' are great, but the ultimate is air raid into Allied Forces..what a monster rock track that is!

From: Remastered Reason Date: February 15, 2006 at 23:08
No doubt, one of their best, if not the best from Triumph. Top to bottom, Gil, Rik, & Mike proved they were truely a cohesive unit & rocked with reckless precision. A MUST OWN!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 29, 2009 at 12:22
Perhaps this album showed the harder side of this magnificent Canadian threesome!!!...from the starter "Fool For Your Love","Magic Power"(that is it..pure magic!),"Allied Forces"(Heavy),"Hot Time"(party Heavy R'n'R at its best!)and somehow the classical song "Fight The Good Fight" (always played live)made this album quite a must to every self respected Rock lover...90/100...and do not forget the tiny little song "Petite Etude"...

From: hair metal again Date: August 28, 2019 at 12:15
excellent release for TRIUMPH back in 81 and as said above perfectly balanced between 70 shard rock and the upcoming 80s hard/metal sound!great production, those unique Rick s vocals everywhere and good songs are offered for an album that still sounds fresh !brilliant
