Album of the famous romance track "Anytime". Good follow-up to "Perfect Timing". Tyical MSG; Robin-Schenker Show. My favourites; "Bad Boys", "Shadow Of The Night", "Take Me Back". A very typical simple melodic 80s love song is "This Is My Heart". And of course ANYTIME. No need to argue anymore, this is MSG! ya know then,...

I just want to say, this is one of my all time favorite cd's. This is classic! In my opinion, it blows away Perfect Timing and MSG. If you like hard rock with excellent songwriting with an AOR feel, you will love this. This is not metal, or straight hard rock, it is so much more! Great harmonies, well arranged and superb musicianship. Can you tell, I love the cd! Highly reccomeded.

Nice MSG's album. Schenker is great, but McAuley's voice is some stupid. THE BEST MSG ALBUM- "ASSAULT ATTACK" 1982, i think...

This is a weaker follow up to Perfect Timing, but still has it's high points. One of these is "Anytime", one of the best power ballads of the late 80's. 6/10

Good album, I remember seeing the video to "Anytime" on MTV so they must've had some success with this direction. Highly melodic, with "I Am Your Radio", "This is My Heart" and the title-track being the highlights. Along with "Anytime" of course, which is a killer power-ballad. I prefer the S/T follow-up and it's predecessor "Perfect Timing" slightly, as they were more consistent, but this is still high quality. 7.5/10.

This really sounds good. 'Bad Boys' should have been the single, followed by 'Anytime'. I wish Schenker would put together an entirely consistent album. I feel like this is as close as he gets. McCauley sounds awesome on this record.

My friend gave this album to me. He said he hated this one. It was about more than 10 years ago. About 2 years ago, he came to me and asked if I still keep this album. Of course I still, but I'm not gonna give it to him. Until now the album still with me.

I still don't own 'Perfect timing' but I would like to find it one day. I am clearly not a fan of early MSG, but I like this melodic / commercial partenership. Never been a huge fan of Robin McAuley's voice, but he's involved in good projects and does well. 'Anytime' blew me away when I first heard it and I still love it, and 'This is my heart' is cool commercial rock. Overall, this is just a good solid melodic rock album.

The Schenker of old is gone yet what emerges is a completely polished style conforming to the trend of the mid to late 80's in which many rockers of the 70's gave up their edge to sell reocrds. Anyway, it is a decent commercial set that undoubtedly fits into the times with an exceptional power ballad "Anytime". However, to hard rock purists, Schenker could have jumped off that bandwagon anytime.

This is the best of the MSG album in my opinion. I really like the song Anytime and Save Yourself. This is melodic metalat its best. Schenker has always been a unbelievable musician. I wish they would have followed this style a bit more in the albums after. 90/100

'Anytime' is a great song but it can't carry the rest of this ho hum release on it's back. The bands previous effort 'Perfect Timing' is much stronger IMO as a whole and is my pick as the best MSG release with McAuley on vocals. Alot of good reviews on this disc but I don't hear any rockers in the same league as 'Give me your love' or 'Love is not a Game' from P.T. Besides 'Anytime' It sounds like Schenker and the boys had a few beers and laid down the other 9 tracks in a few days.

"Solid" is not enough. This is an awesome album with great musicianship, fantastic guitar solos and really melodic songs. The songs No. 2, 4 and 5 are a little bit similar to those of Scorpions. The first track reminds me of Thin Lizzy from "Thunder and Lightning" LP, whereas the vocals in "I Am your Radio" imitate Queen at its best. All in all, outstanding record. 9/10

My favorite of the 3 releases with Robin McAuley. I put them right up there with Giant in the Powerful category...these songs just kick my arse to this day. They are made for playing at max volume. Damn I wish they had recorded more than 3 albums

Another great album, fantastic guitar combined with great vocals, it doesn't get much better. I prefer the previous album slightly, but this is still one of my all time favourites. To name a few tracks, 'Save Yourself', 'Anytime', 'Shadow of the Night' and 'Destiny' stand out for me. The guitar solo in the title track is breathtaking. The album after this was a big disappointment, but this album and its predecessor have enough class for many repeat plays.

a little add to my last comments.the japan import is highly recommanded cause there is three bonus tracks.track 12 and 13 are new version of "save yourself" and "anytime" and track 14 "vicious" is an excellent and very catchy song.

I like this cooperation. Both McAuley and Schenker basked in the warm glow of deserved success at that time being. Though I always regarded this album as the weakest of their all three records I'm not sure now. The more I listen to it the more I like it. A good piece of (arena) hard (aor) rock in similar vein of their other co-authorial work or Scorpions at the same time. 85/100.

I think this is the best McAuley Schenker Group album. I had not heard any of Schenker's work before i listened to this when it came out back in 89, so I didn't have any preconceived notion about what to expect. This is a very well produced and polished album. The songs are very well written and performed and I love Robin's vocals. To me, everything was "clicking" here and they put out a killer album. Honestly, I can't think of a bad song on here. They are all top notch melodic rock. The next album I felt lost some of the "greatness" that this one had.
