From: TT Date: November 28, 2001 at 8:55
More melodic with good ballads, but reaching for a more commercial market. Still a good effort and product

From: nighttiger Date: November 28, 2001 at 23:06
SUCKS!one good song"save yourself"ironic title.rest boring.Could've been so much better.Shenker has the talent.Has to stop chasing the fame and money.

aqui la cosa cambia que buen disco de msg!!, mas fluidas las canciones, con mas pasión y fuerza que en perfect timing!!! rating 8.5/10

From: Baris Date: September 8, 2002 at 10:43
Album of the famous romance track "Anytime". Good follow-up to "Perfect Timing". Tyical MSG; Robin-Schenker Show. My favourites; "Bad Boys", "Shadow Of The Night", "Take Me Back". A very typical simple melodic 80s love song is "This Is My Heart". And of course ANYTIME. No need to argue anymore, this is MSG! ya know then,...

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: October 20, 2002 at 8:01

From: Emilio Date: March 21, 2003 at 7:13

From: bdrums1971 Date: August 3, 2003 at 9:34
I just want to say, this is one of my all time favorite cd's. This is classic! In my opinion, it blows away Perfect Timing and MSG. If you like hard rock with excellent songwriting with an AOR feel, you will love this. This is not metal, or straight hard rock, it is so much more! Great harmonies, well arranged and superb musicianship. Can you tell, I love the cd! Highly reccomeded.

From: RR-Finland Date: September 1, 2003 at 3:04
My fav SchenkerMcAuley. Pretty much everything I have to say this cd, "bdrums1971" already sayed...

From: Rocker76 Date: October 15, 2003 at 16:23
"Anytime" is an awesome 80s hard rock ballad. No one does it like Michael Schenker. Definitely worth the $5 in the used bin!!!

Nice MSG's album. Schenker is great, but McAuley's voice is some stupid. THE BEST MSG ALBUM- "ASSAULT ATTACK" 1982, i think...

From: Big Papa K Date: June 14, 2004 at 1:57
This is a weaker follow up to Perfect Timing, but still has it's high points. One of these is "Anytime", one of the best power ballads of the late 80's. 6/10

From: TIM (2) Date: July 29, 2004 at 5:05
Good album, I remember seeing the video to "Anytime" on MTV so they must've had some success with this direction. Highly melodic, with "I Am Your Radio", "This is My Heart" and the title-track being the highlights. Along with "Anytime" of course, which is a killer power-ballad. I prefer the S/T follow-up and it's predecessor "Perfect Timing" slightly, as they were more consistent, but this is still high quality. 7.5/10.

From: Rockman Date: July 29, 2004 at 12:06
This is a Great Album. What a voice Robin McAuley. All songs are great. This is Rock

From: John Date: July 29, 2004 at 12:30
This really sounds good. 'Bad Boys' should have been the single, followed by 'Anytime'. I wish Schenker would put together an entirely consistent album. I feel like this is as close as he gets. McCauley sounds awesome on this record.

From: Rockman Date: October 29, 2004 at 8:38
My friend gave this album to me. He said he hated this one. It was about more than 10 years ago. About 2 years ago, he came to me and asked if I still keep this album. Of course I still, but I'm not gonna give it to him. Until now the album still with me.

From: Geoff Date: January 4, 2005 at 5:33
I still don't own 'Perfect timing' but I would like to find it one day. I am clearly not a fan of early MSG, but I like this melodic / commercial partenership. Never been a huge fan of Robin McAuley's voice, but he's involved in good projects and does well. 'Anytime' blew me away when I first heard it and I still love it, and 'This is my heart' is cool commercial rock. Overall, this is just a good solid melodic rock album.

From: Waylon Date: January 7, 2005 at 23:35
Geoff it's for sale on ebay right now as I write this! I got this cd and I really enjoy it. Pick it up if you get the chance.

Super album! Top riffing here!

From: Remastered Reason Date: January 16, 2006 at 14:18
The Schenker of old is gone yet what emerges is a completely polished style conforming to the trend of the mid to late 80's in which many rockers of the 70's gave up their edge to sell reocrds. Anyway, it is a decent commercial set that undoubtedly fits into the times with an exceptional power ballad "Anytime". However, to hard rock purists, Schenker could have jumped off that bandwagon anytime.

From: onemorecast Date: April 23, 2007 at 0:18
Very boring. They tried to be very commercial and it didn't work.

From: dave Date: June 16, 2007 at 23:21
Anytime is one of my favorite songs of all the times this CD in general is very good 9.5/10

From: metalmastermusic Date: June 24, 2008 at 14:17
This is the best of the MSG album in my opinion. I really like the song Anytime and Save Yourself. This is melodic metalat its best. Schenker has always been a unbelievable musician. I wish they would have followed this style a bit more in the albums after. 90/100

From: MetalianStallion Date: July 3, 2008 at 0:21
'Anytime' is a great song but it can't carry the rest of this ho hum release on it's back. The bands previous effort 'Perfect Timing' is much stronger IMO as a whole and is my pick as the best MSG release with McAuley on vocals. Alot of good reviews on this disc but I don't hear any rockers in the same league as 'Give me your love' or 'Love is not a Game' from P.T. Besides 'Anytime' It sounds like Schenker and the boys had a few beers and laid down the other 9 tracks in a few days.

From: True Believer Date: April 1, 2009 at 7:43
"Solid" is not enough. This is an awesome album with great musicianship, fantastic guitar solos and really melodic songs. The songs No. 2, 4 and 5 are a little bit similar to those of Scorpions. The first track reminds me of Thin Lizzy from "Thunder and Lightning" LP, whereas the vocals in "I Am your Radio" imitate Queen at its best. All in all, outstanding record. 9/10

From: WookieEnthal Date: July 11, 2009 at 3:56
My favorite of the 3 releases with Robin McAuley. I put them right up there with Giant in the Powerful category...these songs just kick my arse to this day. They are made for playing at max volume. Damn I wish they had recorded more than 3 albums

From: JamesEagle Date: November 2, 2009 at 16:21
Another great album, fantastic guitar combined with great vocals, it doesn't get much better. I prefer the previous album slightly, but this is still one of my all time favourites. To name a few tracks, 'Save Yourself', 'Anytime', 'Shadow of the Night' and 'Destiny' stand out for me. The guitar solo in the title track is breathtaking. The album after this was a big disappointment, but this album and its predecessor have enough class for many repeat plays.

From: lalo r.o.c.k. Date: June 3, 2010 at 23:25
Awesome album,Take me back is my favorite song with those melodies from another world, beautiful solos from the guitar god Michael Schenker and excellent voice from Robin Mcauley, save yourself,Take me back,Anytime, etc, all the songs are masterpieces.

From: the rocker Date: November 29, 2011 at 11:36
Love this era of MSG, all 3 cds are really good. Take me back is my favorite of the cd, Anytime of course, as well as This is my heart, Destiny. and Save yourself. I recommend!

From: hair metal again Date: March 25, 2012 at 4:15
very good release by MSG in a year when hundreds of fine hard rock albums were released!this one has the classic approach ,but also the commercial one that i really love!"anytime","take me back","this is my heart" and "i am your radio" are big hits and Save Yourself becomes a must have

From: Buitre Date: August 30, 2013 at 13:41
I like The Michael Schenker Group with G.Barden and G. Bonnet on vocals and Michaels recordings with UFO but with McAuley the whole thing turned too soft for me. Sorry, not my cup of tea.

From: 123charpenay Date: August 30, 2013 at 16:00
absoluty brilliant follow up to their first realise.exactly in the same vein.if you are fan of their first album this record is essential cause it s at the same very high level.top class melodic rock with an excellent singer and a genius of the six strings.

From: 123charpenay Date: November 22, 2013 at 11:27
a little add to my last comments.the japan import is highly recommanded cause there is three bonus tracks.track 12 and 13 are new version of "save yourself" and "anytime" and track 14 "vicious" is an excellent and very catchy song.

From: Ydol eM Date: February 18, 2014 at 5:04
I like this cooperation. Both McAuley and Schenker basked in the warm glow of deserved success at that time being. Though I always regarded this album as the weakest of their all three records I'm not sure now. The more I listen to it the more I like it. A good piece of (arena) hard (aor) rock in similar vein of their other co-authorial work or Scorpions at the same time. 85/100.
