Schenker decides to go it with a partner in the form of Robin McCauley. Not a bad album. I still play it. Reaching for a more commercial market. Some good guitar work on here as always. Standout tracks are 1,3,4,6,7 & 10.

A perfect combination with Micheal and Robin. Great song writing with perfect playing. Different from the work with Barden but just as good.

This features the former lead singer of Far Corporation and Grand Prix. This one is the best msg release with this vocalist. The others were just okay but this one rocks!

A classic for me. I love to listen to it for years. One of the best three albums of MSG (others are "Save Yourself" and "MSG 91"). Michael and Robin: excellent colleagues. The video of "Love Is Not A Game" is my long time favourite. "Gimme Your Love" and "No Time For Loosers" are also great. PERFECT TIMING PERFECT ALBUM. Come n' get it!

oh yeah, great album...

From: Gar Date: September 11, 2002 at 15:59
Great album. McCauley had more charisma than Barden. They had the right image and the right sound for the time, its surprising that this album wasn't a bigger hit. The label didn't promote it nearly enough. Recommended... if you can find it.

Hated this when it came out, still hate it now. If it wasn't for the guitar work, it would be totally unlistenable for me. I see that I am in the minority here, not trying to start a war, just saw a recent comment and it reminded me of how snookered I felt when I shelled out buckage for this cookie cutter commercial crap. 5/10

Just bought this one, and really figure out what i think. Some is good and some is bad. One thing is sure, that is that McAuleys hairdresser did a ```superb`` job.. Ha ha... OK..Maybe he overdid it a little. Some of Schenkers guitarwork is really good here.

From: Axelinger Date: July 14, 2003 at 23:53
Here Today - Gone Tomorrow is easily one of MSG's heaviest tunes; Herr Schenker has never played a poor solo...

From: RR-Finland Date: September 1, 2003 at 2:57
McAuley has great voice and it´s great that he joined the band. I prefer this kind of MSG better than the previous releases. This band came in my knowledge long after than Scorpions, I didn´t know that Rudolf has this talent brother... Recommended!

Maravilloso, como todo lo q "toca" MICHAEL y todo lo q canta ROBIN!!!

From: Scandi Date: September 20, 2003 at 22:54
It's NO commercial crap Mr Blue Charvel --just AOR. I like "Time" the most and first I saw the performance I thought it was a parody of this cool 80s (well, still think so) AOR/ Melodic Rock is full of ironic, the artists enjoy to keep the cool and anarchist time of the 80s when hairdressers were wild and Miami Vice sunglasses were sold out. --stay cool!!

From: howe Date: December 16, 2003 at 12:28
"Gimme Your Love", "Follow the Night" and "Time" are definetly among the best rock songs to come out in 87. Great album!

Indeed great stuff! Mr.Schenker is a fantastic guitarist ! Good one !

As long as there's stuff like this available to the public, my owning David Lee Roth cds is justified. People this is MICHAEL SCHENKER we're posting about. The same MS that had the rock world by the nuts for 12 years and then he puts this out and expects his fans not to notice his head's in his ass! "Hair band" production doesn't work here. Screw you Schenker for filching my $11. Fuck, there ain't $11 worth of good music on this shitty cd! Stay with UFO and work things out.

This is a great album.......by far the best of the 3 he did with Robin McAuley. Kinda wish Schenker would've cut loose a bit more though, musta been those hair extensions hes got on the cover....

From: Big Papa K Date: June 14, 2004 at 1:56
Schenker changes his sound from the european hard rock of his earlier work, to more of a melodic rock sound with touches of aor and hair metal. And surprisingly, it works. "Gimme Your Love", "Love Is Not A Game", and "Follow The Night" are songs that make it sound like Schenker has been doing this type of music for more than this album. 8/10

From: TIM (2) Date: July 29, 2004 at 5:10
Highly enjoyable album, and along with the two following albums these really sparked my only interest in the band due to the new radio-friendly approach. "Love is not a Game" is the "hit" single taken from this, but the consistency is generally very high. It's guitar-driven melodic-rock for this and the next 2 albums, they were nowhere near powerful enough to be called hard-rock anymore. Very catchy songs, and a surprisingly good trio of albums... 8.5/10.

From: Joan Date: August 15, 2004 at 17:55
Que loco ha dicho que es el peor de MSG? Pero si es el mejor! "Love is not a game", "no time for losers", "follow the night"...impresionante como canta Robin. IMPRESCINDIBLE

From: Chad Date: October 23, 2004 at 23:42
Very good album! Gimme Your Love is a killer tune! It is the standout track on a very consistent album. This album is good from fron to back. It has the rockers and the ballads. Robin McCauly has a great voice. Schenker's guitars are of course featured and bring this one to life. It has stood the test of time. I was a senior in high school when this one came out and I still listen to it to this day!! Pick it up!

From: Rockman Date: October 29, 2004 at 8:33
A commercial album. This album sounds very 'America'. Like this album so much. My favourite songs are 'Gimme Your Love', 'Here Today Gone Tomorrow', 'Love Is Not A Game' and 'Time'.

From: Chad Date: October 29, 2004 at 20:05
This is the best MSG album in my opinion. Gimme Your Love is the standout track but not the only one worth a listen. Here today, No Time for losers, Follow the night, Love is not a game are all worthy. Robin can belt it and Michael can play it. Fans of 80's Harder Rock will dig this one.

From: onemorecast Date: November 8, 2004 at 23:38
I just saw the video for gimme your love tonight, classic 80's video and a good song. the follow up album was boring.

From: Waylon Date: January 7, 2005 at 23:28
Just picked this one up on cd over the holidays and I like it quite a bit. Timeless rock that holds up well, at least in my opinion. The next 2 releases by this band were good as well.

From: Geoff Date: November 13, 2005 at 23:25
Great slab of melodic rock. 'Here Today-Gone Tomorrow' is a great melodic rocker, as is 'No Time For Losers' and the awesome 'Follow the Night'. 'Love is Not a Game' is just as good and 'Time' is a great ballad. As with even the best MSG albums, there are a few fillers, but the melodic moments are great, as always. Great disc.

From: Remastered Reason Date: January 16, 2006 at 14:01
Schenker makes a turn into to more commercial rock on this release. A more melodic rock record rather than the heavy rock he was known for. Still there is much to like & probably overall the best of the three with Robin McCauley on vox though the other two definitely have Schenker's best ballads.

Damn I love this disc...commercial or not it is just a kick arse record. Love Is Not A Game still blows me away everytime I hear it. Love it!

From: JamesEagle Date: November 2, 2009 at 16:17
Love it. My favourite release of Schenker's career. The songs are outstanding. Particular favourites are 'Don't Stop Me Now', 'Follow the Night' and 'Love is Not a Game', which are all perfect rock songs. I can't praise those 3 tracks enough, absolutely amazing. 'Get Out' is also very good and there are other nice songs here too. I am also a huge fan of McAuley's vocals, they work so well with the songs. Wonderful.

From: the rocker Date: November 29, 2011 at 11:40
Of the 3 cds of this era of MSG this my favorite one! Love is not a game, Gimmie your love, Get out, the 2 ballads Follow the night and Time are awesome songs. I recommend!

From: hair metal again Date: April 16, 2012 at 11:32
excellent release by MSG back in 87 and naturally in a more commercial way!all the songs are fine and especially "love is not a game","time",Follow the night ","no time for losers" and "gimme your love".Robin s vocs are excellent and this is the start of a great era for MSG!essential hard rock release!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 22, 2012 at 18:49
First album with Robin on board!!!..a good one but for me the best effort with this man as a vocalist was in Michael's self titled release of 1992(that is a blast of an album to me!!!!)...my faves are "Here Today-Gone Tomorrow","Don't Stop Me Now","Get Out","Love Is Not A Game"(killer!),"Gimme'Your Love"(B/T) & "Follow The Night"(B/T)....recommended...87/100

brilliant collaboration between a super singer (robin mc auley) and a genius of the guitar (mickael schenker) plus some great musicians.the result is excellent.only good songs ,except track 3,the rest is full of melodic rock hits.you have the choice.result leasure guaranted.two bonus tracks on my japan import.new version of tracks 1 and 5.

From: edwithmj Date: June 5, 2014 at 9:30
A lovely debut by Schenker and McAuley. Schenker decided to form a band with a more commercial sound. Gimme Your Love is a decent opener with a meaty solo, Here Today-Gone Tomorrow is a definite highlight with a perfect rhythm and instantly catchy vocals, Don't Stop Me Now is slightly forgettable but I never skip it, No Time For Losers is also forgettable but the solo rescues it I think, Follow The Night has plenty of hooks mainly from McAuley's vocals, Get Out is about as heavy as you'll find on this disc, Love is not a Game sounds almost like pop AOR in the vein of Zebra or Survivor but still works nonetheless with a decent rhythm, Time and I Don't Wanna Lose are two other highlights with the latter being slow at the start that escalates into a combination of pounding rhythms and vocals while the former is a nice low-tempo song, Rock 'Til You're Crazy is a good way to end the disc and is a standard hard-rocker. A change of direction of Schenker but shows he can change with the times.
