AWESOME SWEDISH HARD ROCK. FIRST CLASS PLAYING & SONG WRITTING. CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS CD.

From: M. Allen Date: January 11, 2002 at 12:25
No filler, all killer. This is one of the best melodic hard rock/metal bands to ever emerge from Sweden, featuring cranking guitars, lots of hooks, and cool choruses. "Remember" will forever rank as one of my all-time favorite power ballads. If you love great melodic hard rock, do yourself a favor and track down this CD.

ACES HIGH = The Best of best. "Piece of the action" really shows the standard of the album! ACES HIGH IS BEST! FUCK THE REST!

From: tomcat Date: May 10, 2002 at 23:40
i get a kick out of 'never again' from the first cd, and also the two ballads are magnificent... rock on, tomcat@dolfijn.nl

GREAT HARD ROCK CD, GREAT VOCALIST. TRACK 5 IS KILLER .ADD THIS CD TO YOUR COLLETION.

From: Rycheage Date: March 8, 2004 at 23:57
There's AOR, there's hard rock elements, and power emphasised in both the musicianship and vocals. A total class package. Image wise they conjure up visions of Skid Row but unlike them their music is less 'full frontal' and 'in your face'. There are a few of the Def Leppard big chant along choruses happening in there too to give it that 'big sound'.

A little rougher than Pull No Punches but it's not a bad thing. I like everything I've heard from this band. Class act that knows how to rock AND do a nice ballad or two.

From: jessica96fish Date: March 31, 2004 at 18:24
good cd.better than pull no punches.imo.this one is well worth getting.

From: TIM (2) Date: July 12, 2004 at 5:30
A massively underrated debut (comfortably better than the heavier "Pull No Punches") that is just high class Scandi melodic rock. Opener "Jungle of Love" has a great guitar/keys riff, and "Remember" is such an awesome power-ballad, just listen to the last minute of the song where the chorus just goes totally OTT. "Never Again" sounds almost like pop, but has a great catchy chorus. Whatever this is selling for, it's worth every penny. 9.5/10.

From: beto Date: July 20, 2004 at 22:38

From: meradona Date: September 26, 2004 at 14:43
no esta mal, pero me parece un disco del montoncillo, para mi 6/10

From: Roisin Dubh Date: November 8, 2004 at 14:20
Very impressive, there's a very 80's stadium rock feel about the album , very much a la Mr Big, which is no bad thing. Never heard of them before this website but would heartily recommend, my only complaint is I bought a genuine album on megarock label and the damn thing wouldn't play on pc or Sony stereo system, had to find a cheap budget portable to play it on which doesn't quite have the same effect as pumping it through Sony speakers but hey.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 1, 2005 at 23:29

From: Geoff Date: March 16, 2005 at 19:48
Wow, must agree 100% with Tim (2) above, track by track they are the same three highlights I was going to mention of this disc. These guys just swagger into your speakers with the monstrous opening track, 'Jungle of love' and could not sound better and more at ease with the brilliance they're putting forth. 'Remember' is a truly spectacular ballad and still blows my mind today, and 'Never again' is a killer hard rocker. Overall, fantastic hard rock disc.

Dean Jason from INTUITION here. I LOVE THIS CD!!!! We were on a compilation CD with their lable Mega Rock and I made them send me a copy of the CD. Every song is pefect in every way. If you love 80's to early 90's hair bands. GET THIS CD AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED! I hoped to meet them and tour but that's life.

From: Axe-Machine Date: November 8, 2005 at 11:51
Agree with Dean Jason, if you like early nineties style hair bands then Jungle of Love and Ten 'N Out should really light your candle. Top notch album...worth checking out. 8/10

"Eternally" is a beautiful ballads. Great for tomorrow's Valentinezz

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 31, 2006 at 16:08
While I thought this was a very good album, I did not find it to be as good as most everyone else did. I just listened to it again to see if I had missed something and still, like I said, while a very nice listen, to me, the only real stand out tracks where the massive opener "Jungle Of Love" and the two excellent ballads "Remember" and "Eternally". Good melodic rock, but did not blow me away. Still worth having.

From: juan carlos Date: January 9, 2007 at 13:48

Wonderful Hard Rock! It's there best CD for sure. There are 2 amazing ballads "Remember" & "Eternelly" and it's a must have for people who loves ballads in the Bon Jovi vein.(1986,1994) Also the uptempo songs are okay.Nikki Andersen have an awesome voice. 7/10

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 12, 2010 at 16:05
A jewel!!!...loved it almost in its all!!!(maybe a song was not my cup of tea) but apart from that, simply a great release!!!..solid Hard Rock, catchy choruses and for me the vocalist Nikki Andersen is quite a skilled one,a band that hails from Sweden but sounds 100% american all over..agree with the good comments above ..."Jungle Of Love","Do You Need" & "Nobodys Fool" are 3 in a row great tracks,"Remember" killer ballad, gives you a chill through your dorsal spine,"Piece Of the Action" & "Heartache Breakdown" both rocks your socks good ,"Rock The City" only with that name is a winner,"Never Again" has a Hard AOR feeling,a killer song and the album ends with a beauty that is "Eternelly" a precious one...a 100/100???...well 4 me it was pretty close to it...98/100 ...get it!!!

From: darobinson Date: December 27, 2010 at 14:26
I must be hearing something different than all you folks who say this is great. This is terrible. It just sounds like a bunch of noise to me with a poor singer. Just my two cents and please keep on a rockin'!!

From: 123charpenay Date: February 25, 2013 at 12:22
today i m not ok with rick sorry.absoluty not a jewel.a great and mighty scandi hard rock record.but the choruses don t hooked me.nothing new under the sun a great cd but similar too many many others.

From: JONBONPIGO Date: June 5, 2017 at 19:30
Recommend the Ballad "REMEMBER MY NAME" ... The rest isn't rubbish, but not super noteworthy either...You probably will find a song or two that floats your boat..So check it out...ROCK ON!!

From: Erikk Date: August 14, 2021 at 18:11
Big guitars with a really 'fat' sound, powerfull and passionate vocals, great songwritting, huge hooks and choruses and an overall tight band with a strong production. One of the strong points of the band is that Aces High can really write some huge ballads. Brilliant debut.
