This cd is from the best non-mainstream rock bands ever. Their funk/rock style would get your feet moving in the club. Was working in a club when they opened for Lynch Mob and they stole the show. This cd rocks from beginning to end and if your lucky enough to get your hands on the second unreleased cd, make a second copy immediately because you will wear the first one out!

Interesting in a funky party rock sort of way, but ultimately the songwriting is rather mediocre. And what's up with that cover? Awful.

The 2nd was never released TIM. Your only hope is to find someone with a CDR of it. It's much more rock oriented than the first cd. A little funk, but done very well. I have a copy. These are the tracks. 1)What Kind Of Man Do You Think I Am 2)Save It For Yourself 3)When I Get My Hands On You 4)What You See Is What You Get 5)Someday 6)Tonight 7)Just A Little Bit Of Love Is All You Need 8)Your mama Never told You 'bout Me 9)Comin' Up The Hard Way 10)Little Lisa

These guys actually hit the Billboard Hot 100??!! "If I Say" somehow peaked at no. 63. Must have been a slow month or something, because these guys are VERY mediocre. "Something 'Bout You" is a worthwhile wah-wah rocker, "Place in My Heart" tries really hard to be a Poison ballad, but that's about it. The cover of the CD sucks even worse than the music. Even the band's name should be treated with propane and propane accessories, then set promptly on fire and left to burn.

GOOD GOD Y'ALL!! Finally got my hands on the unreleased second album from these funksters and all I can say is WOW! Frankie and the boys lose a bit of the funk in favor of some classic rock riffery and it works like a charm. Album #1 gave us a glimpse, but this is much more mature and energetic. Props to Tyrone for getting this for me. Somebody should release this man! If we can have multiple Unruly Child CD's then certainly we can get KOTH 2! By the way, Beau Nasty still sucks cat nuts.

What's wrong with you people?! Both of Kingofthehill's albums are absolute quality! This band has an incredible musical chemistry and not one song falls short of any of the others. At the very least it's an attempt at some hard rock originality and in my books the boys pulled off a classic. Well done.

Great band! a classic album from 1990, i got the video of "i do u" in a video tape (recorded on UK MTV's headbanger's ball back in the day) and i still like to watch it once in a while, always a blast, pure entertainment. Frankie sure is a frontman, born to rock n' groove. in 1990, got this album on a tape (with Slammin' Gladys on the b-side) and i listened to it countless times, bring back so much good memories of my college days. got it on cd now, and it's still cool n'fresh as the first day!!

I really liked this one. Catchy "hair metal" combined with elements of Funk, they created their own style rather than sounding like most of the "Funk-metal" of the time. True, the ballads sound more than a little like Poison but that's not such a bad thing. There's enough originality on the other tracks to make up for this.

The first album kicked ass. KOTH kicked ass. Probably one of my 10 fav albums of all time. Back in 91 when it came out, there really wasn't anything like it. So what if it had a few "poison" ballads. Too bad i've never gotten to hear the unreleased follow up. Screw "grunge" and their dirty flannel shirts, and the bubble gum "punk" that's out now. Those "punk" guys are so musically untalented it's pathetic. I wish some 80's type stuff similar to KOTH, GNR, etc would come back again! The 80s ruled

I bought the "I do U" single from a store in San Luis Obispo. I bought it because the guys looked like such drugged out, partied out hair farmers. I can only imagine what the tours were like. The song "I do U" is very catchy, and still amuses me. "I .. Do .. U .. Do You .. Do .. Too!" Poetry!

The album is actually pretty good once you look past the more than hideous artwork. It's got influences from early Danger Danger (If I say), to Extreme (I do U) and Poison (Roses) and this goes on and on and actually makes it a varied album and very worth while. If you find a copy on Ebay for a few bucks pick it up, ya wont be sorry.

King Of The Hill's second album, believe you me was 100 times better than this one. Trust me, some of the best late 80's, early 90's hard rock I've ever heard. It's such a crime that this great music hasn't been released yet. The song writing on the second album was OUTSTANDING!!!!! It makes commecial sence, if someone released this stuff it would be finacailly huge!! They apparentlly did a third album that was EVEN BETTER but I haven't heard it.

This is a cool CD in my books. I have a lot of time for the two great ballads, 'If I say' and 'Place in my heart' - really dig both of them. I also love 'Something about you', the opening track and 'Roses'. Overall, like many there are fillers but there are some great songs on this one. The proposed second CD, I agree had some immense songs on it, but also a few I don't agree with. Not even sure if I prefer it to this debut. A bit funkier in places if I recall correctly...

I'm sure it will be Z Records's big hit yet!! I've heard the second album and trust me, it's brilliant!!! George thinks the 3rd is even better!! He is also very keen on writing some new material for a new disc but he has to convince the rest of the band first. So I suggest everyone who supports this kind music, buy!!

Three word summary of this band: Extreme meets Poison. While you may not think that's necessarily a terrible combination, it's certainly not the best either, straddling the fence of acceptable mediocrity. Where the band manages to stay above water is in the catchiness department, incorporating enough pop-metal hooks to make the songs stick; without those saving hooks, this band wouldn't amount to a hill of beans. This CD is worth having in your collection, but honestly, it skirts the razor edge of being trash bin bound, saved only by a handful of upbeat songs ("Party in my Pocket") and solid ballads ("If I Say").
