rough edition of 38's work. it is a pure southern rock record. sounds like skynyrd lite. a good record to own if a southern rock fan or a 38 fan |

Great album. Not AOR tainted like the later ones but very southern/Skynyrd in sound and style. The liner notes are abysmal. It calls Danny Chauncey: Danny Clancy, Max Carl: Max Carol and says that Rockin Into The Night was their second album when it was their third. That's Lemon Recordings for you. Anyway, all the tracks on here are killer and ALL feature my favourite 38 Special vocalist, Donnie Van Zant. 85/100 |

Not bad for a debut album, with some nice tracks, but much better was to come in the not too far distant future. Worth picking up to complete your .38 collection, but it is a bit run of the mill to be honest. This has now been re-issued by Lemon records a year or 2 back, so is widely avaliable. |
