If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular 38 Special CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from 38 Special are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

rough edition of 38's work. it is a pure southern rock record. sounds like skynyrd lite. a good record to own if a southern rock fan or a 38 fan

Great album. Not AOR tainted like the later ones but very southern/Skynyrd in sound and style. The liner notes are abysmal. It calls Danny Chauncey: Danny Clancy, Max Carl: Max Carol and says that Rockin Into The Night was their second album when it was their third. That's Lemon Recordings for you. Anyway, all the tracks on here are killer and ALL feature my favourite 38 Special vocalist, Donnie Van Zant. 85/100

Not bad for a debut album, with some nice tracks, but much better was to come in the not too far distant future. Worth picking up to complete your .38 collection, but it is a bit run of the mill to be honest. This has now been re-issued by Lemon records a year or 2 back, so is widely avaliable.
