If you notice that a particular The Slam CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Good Hard Rock, fav tracks "Bad Blood & Tears in the Rain" 80/100.

The two bands this reminds me of most are Little Caesar and Hair Of The Dog. No-frills, beer-drinking rock 'n' roll with a bluesy, '70's edge, semi-gritty but melodic vocals. Glenn Hughes shows up for no particular reason, to add some ridiculous faux Al Green falsetto to "Little Angel," an otherwise good song. A couple tunes in the second half don't really stand out, but otherwise, it's a pretty solid disc. My favorites would be "Wild Ride," "Bad Blood" and "Kisser." The phone-sex interlude in "90-50-91-Love" is either funny or annoying, and somehow, the band manages to take a horrible Peter Criss solo song and make it into a fun little acoustic toe-tapper on "Hooked On Rock 'n' Roll." I give it a 75.

As an update to my earlier comment, the singer does remind me of Ron Young of Little Caesar, but also, weirdly, Dave Wyndorf fro Monster Magnet.
