Muy Bueno Caña y melodía a pares 8/10

This CD has all the spark of a 9 volt battery. Those expecting high-voltage melodic metal will be shocked by just how "blah" this band is. Sure, the guitars rock fine, but most songs sound weak, something that kills the experience of listening to this album. Any Bonfire comparisons you may have heard about are total crap; this is Scorpions-style stuff, but not in the same league. The notion that 220 VOLT is anything special is nothing but an illusion...

Very good CD from a very good band

I didn´t like this one. What happened between "Eye to Eye" and this album. 9 years silence? Well, what ever it was, it wasn´t good for this band...

From: luis aormaniac Date: February 14, 2004 at 15:26
this album is total crap.....it doesn't worth even to pay a nickle for it.......a friend of mine bought this album because he saw in the review that this album was a mix between treat and other great swedish hard rock band.....but when we heard it.....just bullshit...the worst japanese bonus track of the whole aor history have a name....sauron.......one song title show the feeling of hearing this album....track 7: dissapointed......don't buy it because is shit......

The 'Eye to Eye' album showed that these guys genuinely had it in 'em... to make that killer melodic hard rock disc, but unfortunately in my eyes I'll always view them as a one disc wonder. On this disc, 'Before you go' is a spectacular glimpse at the genius they possess - another high-class melodic gem as good as the previous disc, and 'Don't you believe me' and 'Private queen' are also highlights. 3 great tracks and 11 duds aren't good odds though. Disappointing, bland rock IMO.

From: Delbert Date: January 3, 2010 at 13:15
For me, this is top notch 80s hard rock and is one of their best releases along with "Eye To Eye". You get Euro-flavored melodic metal similar at times to FAIR WARNING. This release would definitely appeal to fans of TREAT, early MILLION and ACES HIGH as well. Just goes to show yah....our ears are not all made the same!!

very good release for 220 VOLT that was meant to be after the Eye To Eye but got released in Japan a couple of years later !guitar driven hard rock music with a slight commercial edge not showing their metal early 80 s past !the performance is ok ,the songs pretty good and overall it will satisfy most of the listeners without being anything special !" private queen",'chicago","lethal illusion" are the highlights !good stuff
