Being one of the best hard rock bands in the world is one thing, creating a killer acoustic album is another. Good acoustics is superb and really shows the genius of Firehouse, a musthave!!

Gave this one to my girlfriend. Couldn't get into this one either. It has alot of their hits but the hits miss their mark.

I enjoyed this one immensely. The acoustic reinterpretations of their hits was different at first, but it works. The Eagles cover is fun to hear as well.

Because so many of their hits were ballads and because Firehouse have always worked really well in acoustic mode, this CD was a wise move. 'You Are My Religion' ranks among their best written songs. Campfire ready!

The band give it their all, in re-working their favourite songs and a couple of hits and three new tracks, into that acoustic groove. And groove is probably the best word for it all, as it moves along from one song to another at a good even pace. Highlights would include All She Wrote, You Are My Religion, Don't Treat Mr Bad, and Love Don't Care. If you are a fan of the band, then this is an essential purchase, if not, then it may be the excuse you need to check them out for the first time.

'You Are My Religion' makes CJ sound like he's borderline stalking. 'I Live My Life For You' makes him sound desperate and pathetic. Great versions of great songs. The rest of this album is AWESOME. The harmonies on 'Seven Bridges Road' would make the Eagles proud. Love the countrified 'Love of a Lifetime'.

Seven Bridges Road is Killer live. Also.....In your Perfect world is one of Firehouse BEST songs in my book.

I'm not much for acoustics, but when it comes to Firehouse how can you not want it? Their mellow, acoustic driven songs are what they do best, so a whole album of it made sense. I bought this CD to get the three new tracks, and wasn't disappointed there either, as You Are My Religion and In Your Perfect World are two of my favorite Firehouse tunes. You can't go wrong with this release, and it's a great starting point for fans of AOR just discovering them. 8.5/10

This is a nice CD. Not really much more to say about it. I prefer the plugged in versons of the songs and the new ones don't dazzle, me, but that said I still like the acoustic versions and the new songs are not bad - jus tnot excellent. Good CD.

Don't get me wrong, I love Firehouse's first two albums, but this ... it doesn't do it for me at all. I don't like the reworkings of "Love Of A Lifetime" or "Don't Treat Me Bad" at all, for one. "All She Wrote" is okay, but was never meant to be an acoustic song, and "When I Look Into Your Eyes" is good if you liked the original, which I didn't. The Eagles cover and the new tracks are the only reasons to own this, and they're not very big reasons. C.J. has a great voice and the harmonies are excellent, but there's something about the acoustic setting that brings out some irritating mannerisms he has. Add in the nonstop, over-the-top syrupy nature of the lyrics, and it's just too much. 30/100

Firehouse unplugs and while the songs lose some of the spark that made them great, this is still one of the better acoustic-rock albums out there. While in my opinion an electrified hard rock tune is always better than an unplugged one, it is testement to the high quality of these songs that they sound this good even after being stripped down to their bare essentials. That being said, there's no dodging around the fact that this CD is nothing more than "good," and begs the question why anyone would want to listen to merely good versions of these songs when the great versions (meaning the electrified ones) are readily available.

this is one of the best acoustic releases of alltime.very warm sound by the band, great versions of their older songs and nice melodies in their new songs.firehouse are still faithful in good hard rock music and i think that this is a remarkable collection of it

From: elljam Date: March 5, 2012 at 7:23
Not a fan of acoustic albums as the electric versions of songs are better 99% of the time. Because of their strong melodies,Firehouse's songs stand up to the acoustic test better than most other bands. The 3 previously unreleased tracks "You are my religion", " Love don't care" & "In your perfect world" are very good,so I would recommend this over most other acoustic releases.

Pleasant acoustic album IMO...great to hear the band's classics in that format..."Don't Treat Me Bad" is my all time fave track of them even if they dare to turn it in a Bossanova one one of these days ... and well the rest of the songs in here stand proud and strong!!!...enough said...recommended...90/100
