Don't waste your money. The only place I see this is in the dollar bargin bin at the local cd shop. A 1 out of 10.

If you're looking for something along the lines of the first two albums then you WILL be disappointed, but try and forget the band name on the front cover and this isn't such a bad album. "The Nights Were Young" is a great - almost rocking - track, and there are some other highlights which make this CD worth owning. 6/10

While I didnt care for 3 that much I thought maybe it was me..then I listen to this piece of crap...another band to chalk up as a-wipes...where did the pounding harmonies.great hard singing anthem rock sound go from the first 2 albums? these bands make me laugh...what we are suppose to still like u if you change your style 180 degrees? NOT...morons...listen to the first 2 albums again and get back in the studio.find out where your nads fell off and rock damn it..Quote the WidoMakr....never more

Some people can't see where the spirit of hard rock is! This album is a masterpiece, just like the first two of the band! Suppose that the album "3" (a shity fuckin' stuff) doesn't exist, so Firehouse have never changed its style: the finest hard rock with party rock songs and hot ballads that make the girls suck your toe!

Well, I was very disappointed with this at first, as there's not much rocking to be had (except for the cool closer Life Goes On). After a while it grew on me a bit. It's mellow, but there are some cool melodies.

by firehouse standards this is subpar. for the time it came out it took gutts but it still only should get about a 7.5/10. the album, as normal with any firehouse alubm, has great ballads but where are the real rockers with the firehouse sound? get this for the ballads but don't pay full price for it then you won't be as dissapointed when you hear it.

The rating on this album is horrible! 9.4?? This album sucked. The first 2 Firehouse albums are my favorite. When I first bought this album i was wxpecting the sounds of the 1st 2 albums. But man was I dissapointed, I sold this album very quickly after buying it. Dont waste your time our your money.

Acid rain is the best song on the CD. Not as hard as the first 3, but if you like love ballads its not a bad album.

When I listen to this I get pissed off. If I wanted to listen to the Gin Blossoms I would put in a Gin Blossoms cd. When I put in a Firehouse CD I want to hear Firehouse, not Hootie and the Blowfish. I haven't heard it but I'm sure O2 sounds like more of the same. Since they are going to keep putting out this mellow pop crap then change the name of the band ("C.J. and the Snares", or perhaps "Library"?) so that I quit getting my hopes up every time I see a new Firehouse album.

Unfortunately, Blue Tequila, you are absolutely right. This album does not deserve to have Firehouse written on the cover. Where is the catchy music of the first two albums? It's very sad to hear this when you know they sure can do better...they proved it twice. Anyway...this album must be put in another category: horrible!

This album isn't bad at all. Sure, its a little on the mellow side. But it still is clearly a FIREHOUSE album! They didn't change their style a whole lot. They had plenty of ballads on their first 2 albums, so why complain now? I just listened to this back to back with HOLD YOUR FIRE and they're almost equally good.

I have to agree with the comments about this being a FIREHOUSE album. Hell, Def Leppard got wimpy too, but they never comprimised the integrity of being an actual ROCK BAND. This isn't the best effort for 1989, but for 1998 - this is a refreshing addition to the albums of the era. It is still, after all, Firehouse.

The songs are just not there. It was self-produced which is admirable for the sound, but not for the selection of songs. A third party would have been handy. The record starts off OK, but just becomes boring in the end. Better off sticking to their first couple of albums.

Everybody that say bad stuff about firehouse...fuck you, go to listen madonna or somethin else, it's a shame that people like you doesn't know nothing about good music, this cd is a master piece, just listen the riffs, solos, are wonderful, just close your eyes in your room and shut off the light and listen firehouse category 5.

Firehouse change gears a little, but still maintain that clean, sophisticated sound. They're style is more bubblegum pop rock than ever, and their lyrics give the album a more open, carefree feel. As usual the ballads shine, but the twisted and different Mercy is my favorite song here. Other highlights include, Acid Rain, The Day Week and Weather, The Nights Were Young, Arrow Thru My Heart, Bringin' Me Down and Dream. Much better than most give credit for. 8/10

Though this is not the ballsy Firehouse we know and love, the songs here are still winners. 'Dream' is an excellent ballad, the first track is excellent and there are quite a few others I dig here. A few fillers and has not stood the test of time so well as I used to like it a lot more, but this is still a good solid rock release. I like it, much better than 'O2' that's for sure!

Only because many people have been saying this is a bad album it doesnt mean its a bad album. I love many songs on this album like the first track, ACID RAIN and others. If you are a FIREHOUSE album you will still like this album only it sound more acustic then their first two albums.

Gran disco de rock americano, canciones como "Can´t stop the pain", "Dream", "Acid rain" o "The nights were young" me encantan. Un disco lleno de rock, de guitarras electroacusticas y mucho feeling. No tiene que ver con los primeros trabajos en cuanto a potencia hardrockera pero esta muy bien. Para mi su tercer mejor trabajo sin olvidar tambien "3". A ver cuando nos daremos cuenta la mayoria de fans del hard que nuestros grupos no tienen q acer lo mismo toda la vida...seria muy aburrido!

I quite enjoy this album.Is it the same type of rock as their first two releases?No.But as Joe said earlier,this is not the late 80's early 90's.This was 1998 and a GREAT release for that year.What a bunch of crap was being sludged out to the masses that year.This album holds up.It is mellower and more modern than the first two albums but continues on the same past as the 3 album.Prime cuts include:Acid Rain,Can't stop the pain,The Day the Week and the Weather.Expect a different Firehouse though

Don't go expecting the hard rockin' Firehouse that you've come to know on this one. It's a little more mellower than their previous releases. While that's not a bad thing, I just prefer their more rockin' sound. I liked the tracks 'Acid Rain' and 'Life goes On'. They could have kept the (techno sounding) hidden track off this one though.

Muy buen disco tambien, diferente a todo lo que venía manejando Firehouse, mas en común con "3", si se quiere, pero para mi gusto, alcanzando un buen nivel compositivo en general. Si lo que se busca es el viejo estilo de Firehouse, aqui no se va a encontrar, mas que en algunos casos ("can´t stop the pain", "acid rain"), Firehouse maneja en este disco muchas guitarras electroacusticas, baladas melodicas y suaves("i´d do anything") y temas muy interesantes ("if it changes"). Disco para disfrutar.

What is everyone complaining about? Acid Rain, Bringing Me Down and Dream are worth the price of the disc alone, on top of that The Nights Were Young is another keeper. Remember bands mature and the sound on here is an older Firehouse.

The band was just kind of sputtering along like a lung cancer victim on life support when they foisted this one on their loyally longsufferng fans. CJ Snare's distinctive vocals and the usual catchy hook-lines ensure this still sounds like Firehouse, just far more safe and mellow than the hard rocking juggernaut they were on their first two albums. Let's put it this way: if those first two CDs were hair-metal hurricanes, then this CD is nothing more than a rain shower by comparison. But despite the lack of any heavy edge, there are still some worthy songs on here ("Arrow Through my Heart," for example) that make this release a keeper...even if I only reach for it once every five or six years.

good release by the mighty FIREHOUSE when most of other hair bands had abandoned the ship.the way i see it every release from these guys is a highlight for hard rock music.fav songs are the sensational ballad "dream", the opener "cant stop the pain",the melodic rocker "acid rain" and "bringing me down".always a pleasure hearing from these guys

A decent album. It's certainly different from the first two but still powerful and melodic. I particularly like the opener, Acid Rain and Have Mercy.

Obviously if you compare this release with the band's previous ones,well,you might be dissapointed,but honestly is quite a decent effort,at least to me is.Some good tracks are "Acid Rain","Bringing Me Down","Dream"(nice),"The Day,The Week And The Weather"(nice),"The Nights Were Young" & "Life Goes On"...80/100
