This CD and Icon´s "Night of the crime" my two best pick of melodic hardrock! Who said that this is a blend of sleaze and glam? That´s so far off! It´s melodic hardrock/aor with lots of attitude! 10 out of 10

This cd was simply a pleasant surprise when I got it way back when it was released. It's melodic and it ROCKS! Voss is an excellent vocalist and I think his vox, along with some superb musicianship made this a classic cd!! Definitely recommended! 9 out of 10

From: Jay Date: November 2, 2002 at 9:21
Its a pretty good CD, Hollywood angels is by far my favourite song but Michael Voss voice is a bit cheesy at times.

From: xavieskay Date: November 5, 2002 at 17:07

I'm afraid I'm not that thrilled about this one. Good try, but they miss the class most american and canadian AOR bands have. Good for an european AOR release, but far behind most things released in the golden AOR years by american and canadian acts.

Can anyone tell me the meaning of the bizarre song "Rome Burns"???

From: gener8tr Date: April 21, 2004 at 19:41
This is a great album with a summer-time feel to it. "Don't Talk About Love" is a great opener! If you like Danger Danger, jump on board with Casanova.

From: Rockhead Date: May 5, 2004 at 4:39
Excellent debut from Casanova. Dont talk about love is an awesome opener and the overall consistency of song writing is very high. If you like Bonfire, Fair Warning, Silver etc you will LOVE this.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 10, 2004 at 2:54

From: TIM (2) Date: July 2, 2004 at 8:26
Certainly the best album from Casanova, and the opening 2 tracks are particularly good. A few tracks around the middle are pretty average, and I've never liked his vocal style very much, but it finishes strongly. I really don't get the Danger Danger comparison at all, but Fair Warning and a heavier Bonfire are nearer the mark.

From: K.K. Poland Date: July 4, 2004 at 19:06
yeah, the best album from Casanova, all tracks are great, fantastic, amazing, Burning Love, Love Lies, Heaven Can Wait, great music!! œwietny AOR, najlepszy album Casanovy

Casanova has signed with escape and has a new album coming out call All Beauty Must Die. On Escapes site they have an mp3 and it sound pretty solid.

From: JOSE Date: August 10, 2004 at 21:06
Definitivamente el mejor album de Casanova, es dificil escoger un mejor debut entre este y el primero de Danger Danger. y en mi opinion Burning Love es la mejor cancion en la discografia de Casanova. alguna vez sacaron video para promocion?.

From: Geoff Date: August 15, 2004 at 23:24
One of the pinnacles in melodic hard rock history. 'Don't Talk About Love' is the perfect melodic hard rock opener,'Burning Love' is truly sensational and one of my two faves off the album,'Love Lies' is my other favourite, and a deep spine chiller,'Bang Bang','Sticky Sweet','Back to the Wall','Ride the wings of freedom','Hollywood Angels' are all peices of perfect melodic hard rock and 'Heaven Can Wait' is a nice ballad. Just a brilliant album. 9.9/10

From: R.S. - Rocks Date: September 1, 2004 at 18:48
New Album "All Beauty Must Die" out October 26´th on Escape Music. Check out the brand new website "www.casanovamusic.de" - up and running in a few days. So great that this fantastic band is back in their original line- up. The frontcover of the new Album is also absolut great.

If you like this album then go and buy their brandnew album "All beauty must die" now - cause it smokes !!! They were never better than on the new one. Check out killer tunes like "On my love", "Not over you" or the brilliant "Lying" (This song comes in an awesome Def Leppard- style). If there is enough money in your pockets then buy the japanese version with the excellent bonus- track "Shine". This band is back with a vengeance - you better believe it !

In the melodic rock world, this is one of the big trophies, the kind of album we spend every day searching for but that only comes along once in a great while. Pop this puppy in your player and prepare to be impressed by pristine melodic hard rock perfection sweeping over you like the smooth, magical, spine-tingling fingers of a gorgeous Japanese masseuse. There's just nothing negative thing to say about this great CD...everything is top-class. Bottom line, you'll fall in love with this one.

From: Melodiker Date: August 1, 2006 at 18:46

This truly is a perfect Hard Rock album; you may listen to the things that probably you´re expecting in a record of this sort of music: perfect vocals, stunning riffs, great drum-work and catchy choruses. 10/10

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: October 24, 2007 at 21:09

Simply Brilliant, A true Gem lost nowdays, Thnks Michael to give us this wonderful album really melodic and fantastic. 100/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 4, 2010 at 17:07
This is a killer album in al aspects!!!..plenty of highlights and no fillers at all!!!..the kind of album that is a hit after hit after hit...no exageration honestly,i loved this release from head 2 toe and from a debut...what else can i say!..tracks 1,2,4,6,10 are the best ones at least for me,track 12 "Heaven Can Wait" is a monster ballad (what a way to end an album!)and 5 "Rome Burns" has that great vocals, the rest of the songs stand tall too...in general lines,a highly recommended album that sounds like an edgier version of Bon Jovi's New Jersey album and Blue Tears(those are the 2 bands that came 2 my mind).Just buy this inmediately and find out by yourself!.100/100

From: DanDare Date: October 23, 2010 at 3:17
I've never heard any of their other albums, so I can't compare this one. I like it though. In my mind lump them together with the likes of Bonfire, Valentine and Firehouse, although I'm sure one of you will take exception to that. It's definitely of that ilk though. 'Don't Talk About Love' is a very good track.

From: DonDefo Date: December 21, 2010 at 15:11
Very good singer! He appeared on Voices of rock with kicking ass "Maniac"! I listen to this stuff for the second time and I like it really.

From: happy2849 Date: January 21, 2011 at 14:33
I don't like to compare bands because it seems like everyone hears something different when they listen to a band. This one is, by far, one of the best melodic rock releases of the early 90's. I was able to get a Japan import, with OBI, several years ago. Another I have to pull ou more then others!

Casanova released the incredible first album of the same name in 1991. The quality of the whole album was very high, which made them famous. Although it is a German band, it is indeed a standard American style band. 12 songs, all very perfect, no one filled. It is highly recommended that 2, 4, 6, 10, 5 and 12 are the slow version of the folk songs of the people.
