If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Black Veil Brides CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Black Veil Brides are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

With their ebon eyeliner & KISS-ish makeup, Black Veil Brides dress their Hot Topic-approved metal with the glam trappings of '80s excess. It's a hard juxtaposition to do well but this amalgam of Pretty Boy Floyd & A7X manages to pull it off with a certain amount of aplomb (though they should give their vocalist his walking papers and hire someone with better range). What you have here are the heavy-but-slick guitars of modern metal married to the big hooks & anthems that dominated the '80s. It's not a mash-up that's going to set the world on fire, nor is it one that's apt to have a long shelf life, but for the disposable, commercialized metal that it encapsulates, it should at least bring some short-term heat to your speakers, assuming you have a taste for this sort of hybrid. The lead guitarist is particularly impressive, firing off fret fusillades at every opportunity. If you're looking for a release that spans the gap between the old and the new, then this one will rock your world.

One day, a bunch of kids who listen to a radio station with a name like "The Buzz" or "The Edge," stumlbed on a copy of Shout At The Devil, left to one of them by a ne'er-do-well uncle while he's on his 35th trip to rehab. So after listening to it incessantly for a few days, and watching the Addams Famiy marathon on cable, they decided to start a band, and here it is. Punky-glammy modern rock with lots of silly vampire and zombie imagery, but without the mopey self-seriousness of goth. Kinda like an emo band playing Crue covers, not particularly well. It's aimed at girls whose boyfriends listen to hard rock, and guys whose girlfriends think vampires are sexy. Songs manage to be catchy and forgettable at the same time (catchy while they're playing, but forgettable when they're not), the lyrics are standard post-2000, not-very-shocking, teen-rebellion, semi-goth themes, and the image is unoriginal to anybody over the age of 14. The whole thing just reeks of gimmick over goods.

Having said all that, and once you admit that it's utterly disposable music, it's not terrible. There are a lot of things I would turn off quicker. But that said, I don't seek out their music either, now that I know for sure what the score is. Now I kinda know how an older friend must've felt in 1990 when I raved about a new band called Trixter.

When i opened a Kerrang last spring i couldnt believe my eyes i saw this band! Image from Alleycat Scratch and out spoken at Piers Morgan LOL This cd is mix of modern metal and sleaze on start 90s, heavy and fast. FALLEN ANGELS is total glam hit, not metal, just fast glam anthem.Love it.

Much better than their debut even though it conserves that typical teens touch but with somehow some maturity incorporated ...tracks 1,2,3(catchy),5(yeah!) & 6(catchy)are my faves...86/100
