I have to say that I was amazed when I first heard this. This was a very strong from album. Not his first, but I think his best. The production is strong and the songs are very good. I still play this quite regularly. Best cuts are 1-4, 7 and 8. A great melodic rock album with some great guitar. |

I think Troy summed it up fairly well. Jon Butcher doesn't quite fit into the melodic metal category for me but his tunes definitely possess those qualities. Almost a strong sense of AOR to his stuff. Either way, it's very good musicianship and definitely worth $5 used if you can find it. I wouldn't pay top price for it but it's worth owning. |

Melodic metal? I think you got this one wrong. This is pretty much straight ahead rock with some AOR thrown in for good measure. This is a really good release in my opinion. |
