as it is my case with this one,it took me a couple of listens to appreciate the quality of this album and to be honest i think this is a very good effort by the man but it doesnt reach the quality of earlier releases still i recommemded though.,there are some wicked songs in here like the title track.i dare you to check it out.

I dont know what to say, i only have 2 songs of his, "dare" and "you've got the touch" and i can honestly say i have never heard a better song in my life... and this coming from a 18 year old male, is quite the credit to stan bush's music. good work

If promoted well and given decent airplay, this disc should perform very well on the commercial front. There's no substitute for a consistent AOR album, so take it from me-this one won't disappoint. Well done to the guys at Frontiers for getting behind this one. There's plenty to enjoy and no filler material to be found. The mid western feel of 'Some Things Never Change' and the heartfelt honesty of tracks like 'Don't Let Them Down' and 'Don't Tell Me' are very rewarding with repeated listening.

Stan Bush has always been an underrated artist, Rycheage ! Most people over here seem only to like nu-metal or alternative acts, only capable of playing one riff and totally incompetent to write a decent song. They're already happy if a band rocks (see MQS, new Tesla,Butch W. and the likes). This man has class, but hey, it is not appreciated these days. If you can't play, chances are great you have a lot of success ! Sad !

For all Stan Bush fans and lovers of quality AOR/melodic rock : the new Stan Bush album 'Shine' is upcoming and I can tell you that it will be a cracker à la Stan Bush and Barrage ! From what I've heard till now I think it will be very close to my RECORD OF THE YEAR ! Yes, it's that good. Pure, genial AOR from the highest quality. Buy it pronto as it comes out within a few weeks (23 of June I believe on Frontiers !). I keep my fingers crossed !

I have not heard any other Stan Bush releases, but due to the reviews on this site I bought it. I was dissapointed immediatly, but gave it a fair listen. I'll tell you, I just couldn't stand to listen any more. The mix is very dry and raw. Stan's voice is a perfect deadringer for Dan Hill (you know "Sometimes when we touch, the honesty's too much...). For me, that's a drawback. The songs are very folky feeling to me. Lots of strumming guitars and almost a country rock feel here and there.

There are very few keys here, despite the fact that Curt Cuomo is listed in the credits. It just doesn't do it for me. It reminds me more of the pop rock on the radio nowadays than a classic AOR/melodic rock feel. For me, nothing special. Beware before you buy. Of course this is just my opinion!

Surprised to see the good response to this one as I thought I was not alone in my thoughts on this... but maybe I am. I think this is nice and consistent, but lacking any spark. It's by-the-numbers AOR and it's a nice bunch of sappy love songs... but for me it was a little tiring and uninspired. Sorry to cause offence to those I will no doubt cause offence to, as I still think it's a decent album... but there are better releases of this style around... IMO.

Buen disco. 8.3/10

Undoubtebly a magnificent artist but in this album he lost his horizons a bit..not a solid album, the ones that usually he gives us..."What I've Got Is Real" is a very good starter,"Never Stop Writing This Song" my fave one,a mid tempo track,"Like I've Never Lived" a wonderful ballad,"Language Of The Heart" nice song, nice chorus and "Don't Tell Me" another fave..still enjoyable after all..85/100
