The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular The Babys CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from The Babys are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

An all time classic - John Waite is in excellent form throughout the album. It drops marks because they let "new-boy" Johnathon Caine sing Turnaround in Tokyo - yuk! All in all 8 classic Baby's tunes... shame there's no unreleased bonus extras :-(

Slightly more epic than "Head First" but definitely one of the two best albums they put out. Unreleased tracks or not, I was really happy when One Way reissued this. I couldn't afford the prices eBay was asking.

A truly great album. The opening cut/single for this album "Back on my feet again" was very deceiving, this is a solid Rock effort on their part. Most of the songs fall in the category of Foreigner's "Hot blooded" and "Double vision" songs. Best cuts are "True love...", "Midnight...", "In your eyes" and "Anytime". Great rock n' roll!

Truly fabulous, and definately their best release, although all the others are excellent aswell especially the magical 'Broken Heart' & 'On The Edge'albums. Probably one of my most played albums of all time, never tire of it. John Waite is brilliant on this one, proving himself to be one of THE Aor/ Rock vocalists of all time period. A must have.

'Back On My Feet Again' is one of those irresistable slices of AOR, all stabbing keys and flowing vocals from the school of Journey and 80's Le Roux. 'True Love True Confession' builds into a rousing anthem along the themes of infidelity and heartbreak, paving the way for any number of Bad English classics to follow a decade later. 'Midnight Rendezvous' keeps the pace uptempo with melodic flair intact, culminating in a chorus that would stand tall on Journey's 'Frontiers' album.

All the Babys albums are worth seeking out. This is the first that featured the revamped line up with Jonny Cain and Ricky Philips joining and Mike Corby dropping out of the band. The kind of epic feel that Run to Mexico had on Head First is repeated here on the title track which is fandabbydozy! All the songs are superb but I think the weakest track is Turn Around in Tokyo which seems to go nowhere. Jesus are you There was originally called Jesus Is'nt There, but band pressure made JW change it

IN YOUR EYES, what a melodic killer track. imo one of the best aor songs from the period 1971-80.

Wow, what an album. A timeless classic. It always leaves me slightly 'out of breath' whenever I play it as it has so much energy. It has a Britishness about it in its attitude as well as its title. Yet, it still manages to be a melodic rock classic with an anthemic vibe to it. I'd say this is John Waite's finest hour - his voice is mindblowing and heartfelt here. Prepare for musical ecstasy!

Sorry, I meant to add that the drumming in 'love is just a mystery' is among the finest and most sensitive I've ever heard. Have another listen...!
