This Album was a life changing one for me, and one that really got me into the whole Melodic rock thing. It was also the first occassion I heard John Waite and was blown away with his vocals. He has remained a favourite of mine too this day. This Excellent Debut album starts and ends with two of the best tracks the band ever wrote in 'Looking For Love' & 'Dying Man'-brilliant both of them. The rest is very good aswell, but it is JW who is the star of the show on this one.

Fantastic first effort from the Babys..... I always seem to be saying this but... Jez is bang on again. Although the album that did it for me with the band was the NEMS released "official unofficial" Babys album. Dying man is superb and is very atmospheric, Read My Stars is a bit of a rocker and Laura is a superb ballad that I'm sure a lot of people could relate to. Wild Man again is an excellent introspective ballad..but none of the ballads on here are wimpy Bryan Adams type nonsesense.
