Easily their best release - OFFERING is probably the most well known from AXE, but the first 5 tracks on this one are some of the best hard rock from the era. One of my all time favorite LPs. Was fortunate to see this band open for PRIEST & MAIDEN back in 1982. Overlooked & unheralded classic. |

I only recently learned of this album. We bought the original Axe album from 1979 on a whim shortly after it was released; we were quite happy with it. I never saw anything more from them until 1982's Offering. After that came Nemesis, and I thought that was it. Many years later -- probably around 1995 or 1996 -- I saw this CD (as well as the original Axe CD) at a local independent music store as a Japanese import. (These were about $30 each, but worth it to me as I recall many wonderful high sc |

Album number 2 and another great release - adding the second half of the Babyface album as bonus tracks. Maybe not quite up to the debut, but a strong release all the same. 'Fantasy Of Love' is excellent as are 'For A Little while' 'Running The Gauntlet' and 'Carry On'. |

The final Axe album that I really enjoyed, although I persevered through Offering and Nemesis I finally gave up as I thought the magic that they had had gone. Plus it p*ssed me off having Bobby Barth bad mouthing the first two albums in the press as being too wimpy...Duh! So I don't know much about what they got up to after Nemesis (whether they returned to their old ways or not) but this for me is the last Axe album in their classic style. Great album but the first JUST shades it out. Do grab! |

Amazing cd from beginning to end. The only real version of this cd was released in Japan (10 tracks total). I give this cd a 10 out of 10. Bobby Barth Rocks!! |

I find it hard to make a preference between this and the first album; they're a pair of albums in many ways, both perfect examples of what happens when you mix AOR, Pomp and straight ahead hard rock. Yes, they went seriously downhill after this, heading in something of a harder, less polished direction - trying to be Southern almost, but the fact was .38 Special & Blackfoot covered that territory alot better. Having said that, you can hear an undercurrent of that style deep within these first tw |

Living on the edge and Fantasy of love are two of my all-time favorite songs. These two songs would be on my personal greatest hits disc if I had one. |
