This Summises Axe's excellent 6 album career in a very nicely presented 2 disc Digipak. The 12 tracks from the first 2 albums seem to be the original album versions & not the re-records they did on the '20 Years From Home' compilations back in the 90's, although the 13 tracks from 'Offering' & 'Nemesis' presented here are the re-recorded versions. Added to that we have 9 tracks from the very underrated 'V' & 'The Crown' albums, + a couple of unreleased bonus tracks recorded from the late 80's. There are one or two glaring omissions, like 'You're Out Of Line' from the stunning debut, one of THE best songs they ever recorded in my opinion, but you can't have everything on compilations like this I suppose. Apart from that, most of the other key Axe tracks are pretty much here. 'Battles', 'Fantasy Of Love', 'Carry On', 'Burn The City Down', 'Heat In The Streets', 'Steal Another Fantasy', 'Silent Soldiers', 'Let The Music Come Back', 'Masquerade', 'Heroes And Legends' classics one and all. |
