not bad. some good songs, but by the end of 18 tracks it becomes a bit same-same.

The biographical history of SEDUCTIVE LUCK is very sketchy although they formed out of the Bay Ridge, Brooklyn section of New York around 1984 (the original lineup is unclear). The core of the band were both Paul J. Baccash (g/k) (ex-LOUD CROWD,ex-JEREMIAH JAMES, ex-AMISH OUTLAWS) and Greg Williams (v/g) (RIP 2014) (ex-LOUD CROWD),as both could’ve possibly been original members. At some point, the remaining cast featured Francis Pierini (aka “Francis”) (b) (ex-LOUD CROWD, ex-TORA), Miguel “Michael Core’ Corella (d) (ex-LOUD CROWD), and Anthony Bramante (g) (PHANTOM, ex-MUDGOD, ex-HARTER ATTACK, ex-NUCLEAR ASSAULT) although Anthony would leave fairly soon to join NUCLEAR ASSAULT around 1985 (he would later return at least once for a benefit show for Greg Williams in 2012 and may have been an original member as well). Some of the other acts that these members have been a part of included SKID ROWE, KAPTAIN’S HOOKER, STRYDER, LEGACY, and PULSE although it’s unclear what members were invol

involved with each mentioned. They apparently recorded Demos which would amount in an album’s worth of material around 1988, but it’s unclear if the SEDUCTIVE LUCK tracks here (10-18), were all recorded during that year or not. There has been talk about both a 3-track and 5-track Demo in existence although I couldn’t get the exact years of their Demo recordings (possibly 1988). The Demo tracks were apparently recorded at “Millbrook Studios” with by Bob Stander, with only some of those songs being released as Demo cassettes. The act also worked with producer Godfrey Diamond of AEROSMITH fame. They would ultimately change their moniker to LOUD CROWD and would release an eponymous LP in 1992 on the “A.S.K.” label with 9/10 tracks appearing on this Compilation (the drum introduction titled, “The Natives Are Restless” was left off this release from that album in order to include additional material here according to the band). The LOUD CROWD LP was recorded at “Bearsville Studios” with Doug

Oberkircher and mastered by Roger Lian at Masterdisk. SEDUCTIVE LUCK managed to play heavily throughout New York and New Jersey with notables such as WHITE LION, EXTREME, FASTER PUSSYCAT, AUTOGRAPH, T.T. QUICK, CHINATOWN, DREAMZ, RISE, RADON, ST. THOMAS, and BAND OF THIEVES amongst others and developed a cult following. The band wrote a handful of other tracks including You’ll Always Be Mine”, “Time Takes Control”, “No Balls, No Glory”, “Mental Rage”, “No Tellin’ When”, and “Let It Show” amongst others, although it’s unclear if they were ever recorded in any capacity or not. They came up with the name “SEDUCTIVE LUCK” after one of the members stated to another, “Man, you’ve got seductive luck”, when the other member began meeting up with a girl on Tuesdays for a period of time. A STEPHEN STILLS cover of “Love The One You’re With” was also included on the LOUD CROWD LP (as well as this release). Their musical style was along the lines of FIREHOUSE, ENUFF Z’NUFF, BLUE MURDER, BON JOVI,DA

DANGER DANGER, KISS, and DOUBLETAKE amongst others. There were some reunion / benefit shows during the period of 2011-13’ although the group are currently inactive to date (2017).
