this is the best album of ASIA,the singer John Payne has very feeling,is a great voice, listen up The day before the war, what song!!!!!,and Tell me why.

From: Julie Date: March 14, 2002 at 15:33
Tonio needs to have his head examined or needs to listen to Asia's first 3 albums.John Payne should join a an 80's styled metal band with the kind of voice he has.

From: West Of Sunset Date: March 31, 2002 at 4:31
I have to say that is a very melodic album and the softest cd of ASIA.John Payne has an infinite better voice than the ridddddddiculous Wetton. For contact:haremscarem@eresmas.com

From: koogles Date: June 28, 2002 at 16:51
A new direction for Asia and a welcome one. A softer, more diverse album than anything that has come before, this may disarm some diehard Asia fans at first. Downes' keyboards skim along the surface of the soundscape and gone is the bombastic honking of "Only Time Will Tell" and the like. Accordingly, Payne's voice sounds smoother and more relaxed. A mellow but effective release.

Very much like JRR Tolkien's Trilogy of the Lord Of the Rings, I think that everyone that respects himself should get all these 3 albums Aqua, Aria and Arena. Arena is their most versatile album, expanding on other musical styles a typical rock band wouldn't ever dare to explore. Rock, Latin, fusion, symphonic, pop, there are all there! Julie who says all that miserable stuff about John Payne's gifted voice, the least I could say is that she has a really bad taste and that she needs some help

From: koogles Date: December 31, 2002 at 15:32
Comparing Asia albums to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy is pushing it.

From: Great Dane Date: December 31, 2002 at 15:36
Ha ha Koogles, Good funny comments. Youre right, that would be pushing it too far.

From: robert Date: March 29, 2003 at 16:43

From: Rider Date: November 1, 2003 at 7:01
I think Asia's Arena one of the best Asia albums ever made. The secret of its wonder that they added different styles into one album.I agree with Manos, but I don't understand how he thinks Tolkien's Lord of the Rings hearing Asia's Arena. In my opinion many rock bands should learn from Asia and dare to try out various styles in one album. Asia's Arena is a wonderful, brilliant album!A gift for us!!!

From: quini Date: February 26, 2004 at 15:58

From: ArnoldLancelot Date: January 12, 2005 at 12:12
Now Mr "quini" is calling John Wetton a poor bassist & plain singer... Do you actually know bands like KING CRIMSON or U.K.????? Do you actually DO have ears???? Please DO bother to follow artist carreer before talk like that!

From: Geoff Date: October 1, 2005 at 2:50
Can't agree with the majority of the opinions above. To me, this is all a bit of a mess. 'Tell me why' is nice, but IMO, the rest ranges from terrible to awful. Not enjoyable songs at all, IMO.

From: AlbertoFR Date: July 7, 2006 at 6:35

Sweet, soft and keyboard orientated AOR album. I used to like it a lot but now the rating is: 7/10 (But the cover is beautiful! )

From: shoemaker Date: August 14, 2007 at 13:53
First a disapointment, these album grows. The album has no hits, but you can hear it again and again. It´s very soft and laid back. This is the optimum asia album for laying in the sun with closed eyes, waiting for sleep.

From: rbrigade Date: December 3, 2008 at 18:26
I love this album. Some songs are brilliant, like Arena or The day before the war. After the first two which are their best efforts, this one comes next

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 3, 2012 at 18:16
Very relaxed album...mostly comprised of mid tempos and softies proggy tracks, not bad though...the best ones for me are "Words" & "Turn It Around"...another goodies are "Heaven","Two Sides Of The Moon","Never","Falling"(nice chorus line)& the instrumental closing song "Bella Nova"...87/100

This is a fantastic album, I like this stuff, John Payne era is better for me, great compositions.
