This cd is almost perfect. Any loyal fan of AOR/Melodic Hard Rock will love this album. I have over 2200 cd's and this ranks very high on my list. Highly Recommended!

From: J.Mick Date: May 22, 2002 at 23:07
This is first rate AOR/Melodic rock. I give it a 10 out of 10! Track #3 (Your Love Will)'Carry Me Home' will send chills up your spine. This is one for all of our military men to their ladies waiting for them on home soil of the great country known as America. If you like the Steve Perry era of Journey, then you are sure to enjoy the fine vocals of John David Martin and the high quality instrumentals of the talented band. These guys rock! This album is a must have for any AOR enthusiast!

From: freddy de keyze Date: September 5, 2002 at 7:41
Not pure AOR, this one, but more pomp-orientated, but what a masterpiece and what a shame we never heard of this band again. One of the best records of the nineties, a real MUST, certainly for keyboardfreaks ! BUY BUY !!!!

From: David Date: December 10, 2002 at 20:02
Does anybody tell me where I can get this CD's? Thanks. slayeryu2002@hotmail.com

From: West Of Sunset Date: December 31, 2002 at 2:37
This is the kind obands that trys to make a typical AOR form 80's and the result is DISSSSSAPIONTED!!!!!!.I don't like this one at all, I like original well-made things not this kind of silly robotic AOR lacked of good tunes, i don't like a song from this.Boring stuff 2'5/10. Forget this!!! Believe me. Contact:westofsunset@hotmail.com

From: freddy de keyze Date: January 21, 2003 at 11:58
West of Sunset, you have the right to have your opinion. But this CD is a masterpiece, man. Can't name 5 better records made in the nineties ! Keyboards all over the top and the tunes are marvellous ! Simply brilliant stuff and don't believe West of Sunset. Give this A TRY and you won't be disappointed !!!!

From: koogles Date: April 17, 2003 at 12:18
Yeah, West of Sunset needs to check his compass or consult a map. This CD is brilliant AOR with standout tracks like 'It's Over' and 'Fantasy'. Juicy, Biloxi-style melodic hard rock that definitely will appeal to Journey fans. I can, however, name 5 better records made in the last half of the nineties: Stun Leer's debut, The Storm's 'Eye of the Storm', Hugo's debut, Sunshine Jive's debut and Ten's first one.

From: AOR freaky Date: November 27, 2003 at 4:33
Right Koogles, these guys should have been superstars ! This is FANTASTIC pomp/AOR stuff, keyboard heaven ! Keys all around and it's heavy too ! FINE Fine stuff. Every home should have one ! But this someone out there where these guys are now ? Maybe a check at the wonderful Glory Daze website will bring an answer ? !

From: Chuck Date: February 24, 2004 at 0:29
Hey all - just stumbled into your comments . . . and wow what a surprise! You guys are totally cool to be still ravin' about the 'As It Should Be' CD. I'm the drummer with ARTICA and the last few years we've all been doin' our own thing. After this release came out we were kinda buried by the grunge/alt scene in the states and couldn't ink a deal for a wider release. Maybe now the time is ripe, eh! Whatdoyathink?

From: Cruise Date: February 24, 2004 at 0:45
Hey Chuck, this is a great album and you should definitely think about getting a wider release and a follow up album. Everyone i know who has ever heard this album thinks it's amazing. Just not many people know it exists. 9/10

From: Rycheage Date: April 6, 2004 at 23:05
The opening strands of 'Fantasy' will give you a taster of where their music will take you for the next 40 minutes or so. There's no let up really, with 'Its Over', 'You're Still On Your Own', 'Hold On', 'Take Me All The Way' and 'Girl Of My Dreams' all being classic examples of the melodic rock genre. Singer John David Martin has a voice which has inflections of Steve Augeri whilst the keyboard work of Robby Moore holds the whole thing together. Excellent AOR with a hint of pomp in the music.

From: Geoff Date: June 16, 2004 at 3:37
Wow, I'm surprised at the glowing reception this one gets. Yes, it's a good AOR / melodic rock CD, but for me I don't find it to be the gem everyone is talking about. While it's not crap - not even close, it is certainly not amazing, IMO. Good solid AOR, but I prefer many more bands doing the same thing. Doesn't come close to rivalling mighty Zero labelmates, Zero. Still, pretty cool.

From: AOR freaky Date: June 16, 2004 at 5:34
Geoff, this is FANTASTIC stuff, man ! Great, pompy AOR ! Lots of keys ! A GEM !

From: TIM (2) Date: June 28, 2004 at 8:31
I have the Japanese version with a much better cover and a different running order, and I love this. The vocals are an acquired taste, but if you love your AOR drowned in keys then you'll forgive that. Barely the sniff of a filler track on here. Koogles: I bet you thought no-one would pick up on your joke about the first TEN album being better??! A joke, surely....

From: jessica96fish Date: October 6, 2004 at 2:37
yeah tim.thats what lets this one down some what.the vocals.as geoff says it ain't bad at all.just their are much better albums out their.

ASSOLUTAMENTE DA AVERE,PER FANS DI SURVIVOR ECC...MI RICORDAN MOLTO I LONDON DRIVE....GRANDIOSI...

From: John Date: February 25, 2005 at 19:26
Hey everyone, this is John the singer from ARTICA. Years have gone by now but I still go back to the fun times I had with this band! Overall I was happy with the c.d. it was just too bad we didn't get more support from the record companies etc. I always believed this band had the guts to succeed. So glad to see people still appreciate good music! I've worked on other projects since and still enjoy golfing with Mark the guitarist, and Roger the bassist. All my best to the fans worldwide.

From: AOR freaky Date: February 26, 2005 at 4:09
Hi John : boy, great to hear you ! I still consider your record as one of the best ever made in the nineties ! Very pompous, lots of keys, heavy : GREAT ! I always hoped (like I did for Red Dawn) that you would release a second album ! But . . . , hey, it's never too late, mate ! Your act and Red Dawn were the ones that putted the pomp stuff on the card in the nineties (with all that grunge crap !). Let's do the same now ! We need bands like Artica these days, John ! Welcome !

From: z4roxx Date: February 26, 2005 at 18:50
This time I agree with AOR Freaky, one of the best cd after 1992,IMO.If you love Survivor's style this one is a must.Artica is awesome!9.5/10.

From: Mark Adrian Date: March 3, 2005 at 21:36
Hey rockers, this is Mark Lead guitarist for Artica. Just talked to John and I'm thrilled to hear theres still so much interest in our music. Seriously thinking of re-releasing the CD with 4 or 5 new tunes on it or possibly an entirely new CD. How does that sound to you?? Thanks for the ass kicking support!

From: AOR freaky Date: March 4, 2005 at 2:13
How this sounds to me ! ? FANTASTIC, Mark ! Boy, we NEED a new ARTICA CD, it would be a honour to me if you could release some new stuff ! DO IT, PLEASE ! Lots of success !!!!!

From: partygirl2000 Date: March 27, 2005 at 21:32
OMG!!!!They are so super awesome i cant get over it...after all that rap crap it is so refreshing to hear real music...cant wait for the next CD. Rock On!!

From: Catalonia Date: April 6, 2005 at 14:31
THE CD WILL BE RE-RELEASED IN JUNE BY ESCAPE RECORDS WITH BONUS TRACK!! GREAAATTTT!!!!

From: Journey AOR fan Date: April 6, 2005 at 19:52
This is great news everyone!! 'Artica' is back!! Can't wait for the new c.d. with bonus track. This band is excellent. If you like Journey like I do then you will love the bands singer. He is similar to Steve Perry with a cross of Kevin Chalfant and Steve Augeri thrown in as well. Where have they been all these years? Does anyone out there know? Still to this day 'As It Should Be' is one of my favorite c.d.'s. Get the C.D. everyone!! You won't be dissapointed!! THANK YOU 'ARTICA'!!

From: Rtyr@57chev Date: April 6, 2005 at 22:11
I saw this band on this webpage. Where are they from? Never heard of them before but they sound really good. http://www.escape-music.com/frames1.htm Can I buy the c.d. in Denver anywhere? I dig old van halen, yes and asia. Everyone keep rockin. Peace...............Rtyr......

From: AOR freaky Date: April 7, 2005 at 4:35
The album will be available through Escape records, and will be fully digitally remastered with one bonus track ! Great news, Mark ! A full new CD, with the same pompy sound would even be more welcome, Mark !

From: Rtyr@57chev Date: April 7, 2005 at 18:36
hey AOR freaky is Escape records going to let us know where to buy thec.d.? Maybe they are internet only store? How did you hear about Artica band? I wonder if they will tour or come here to Denver to play!!!!! I keep on rockin in my 57 chev..........

From: AOR freaky Date: April 8, 2005 at 4:15
Well, they buy on from their website, but it will also be distribuated over the world, I think. At least, you will be able to buy it from great online shops like AOR Heaven (or NEH records, MusicBuyMail etc.). I know that band already from their superb release on Zero (japan) ! It's from 1995 and still sounds great (great production !). I always hoped for a folllow up, and now there seems to be life again ! Let's pray !

From: drawmeow4me Date: April 8, 2005 at 15:02
this band is incredible. i got the cd back in 96 on Zero as well. Killer keys and harmonies and that singer john martin is great as well. lots of praise for this one and it looks like they are back on escape!! i gave it a 9 1/2 out of 10. One of the best aor bands from mid 90's.

From: Mark Adrian Date: April 9, 2005 at 22:29

From: John Date: April 17, 2005 at 13:28
Hey all you big "ARTICA" fans out there!! It's John again from the band. So great to see such wonderful comments from everyone. Quick update, re-mastering was finished up last week and sounds AWESOME!! Think you will notice a little more "rock punch" on this one. We can't wait to get the re-release out to the world. June 2005 on "Escape Music" from England. Hoping for a follow up release as well. We'll see what unfolds and keep you all posted!! Keep on Rockin now, AS IT SHOULD BE!!!!

From: Lennie Date: April 17, 2005 at 13:44
Fab, cant wait! June cant come quick enough.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 9, 2005 at 0:06

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 9, 2005 at 0:14
El hecho de que algunos integrantes de la banda hayan comentado aca no hace que Vanaglorie el disco, un critico debe ser imparcial en todo sentido y dar lo que se merece al grupo o album IMO.

From: FIREMAGIC 05 Date: July 27, 2005 at 13:50

From: Erik Date: July 31, 2005 at 4:55
Very good pomp AOR is what you find here. Absolute highlight for me is the pomp rocking anthem song Let it show. Excellent disc all in all. 8,9/10

From: AOR freaky Date: August 3, 2005 at 6:00
The remastering on this classic pomp/AOR CD is really great (thanks Escape) and the bonustrack is awesome and on the same high level as this whole brilliant CD ! SUPERB STUFF !!!

From: soundtrack.master Date: August 31, 2005 at 14:51
I had the japanese one, with another front insert by Zero Corporation. It's a good Hard Rock/Metal, not so bad, not so good. One ballad only in the entire album.

From: mauidog Date: September 19, 2005 at 17:17
Kick A$$ rock and roll at its best! Maybe Artica can get Van Halen to open for them when they go on tour. That would be a great show! I'm not kidding!!! These guys really can rock! "As It Should Be"! Aloha!

From: Chuckster Date: August 28, 2006 at 17:46
Message to Mark & John - whatzup?! What's the latest with ARTICA? Are you guys working on the 2nd release - "Are You Catchin' Any of This"? Shoot me an email sometime: 101baker@gmail.com (yeah - it's been a while) SeeYA.

From: BIG-TIME Date: September 19, 2006 at 20:16
Damn what are you guy's smoking this is awfull, not one song grabs me... AT ALL? If this music floats your boat then good for you, but you lot seem to think that this is the be-all and end-all for music on this site. This type of AOR is an acquired taste! and not to everyone's liking, though they sound a bit like Fortune, Touch, Survivor and so on... again dont like that type of AOR except for Survivor (AWESOME) You couldn't play this to the crowds today you would be hunted down and burned.

From: BIG-TIME Date: September 19, 2006 at 20:25
Band's like Victory, Saint's N Sinners, Def Leppard, Hardline, Strangeways TOTALLY ROCK!!! and are still played in rock clubs in England today. Artica are no-were to be found and for good reason, bands like this don't take off coz not many people like that sound only the select few who where around at the time (70's)...Anyway KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: October 1, 2007 at 23:17

From: YIRO SEVENTH Date: October 7, 2007 at 13:28
Destacan: "Hold On" y "Girl Of My Dreams" y nada mas

From: KurtmanJP Date: October 31, 2008 at 17:31
Very good AOR but not a masterpiece. "Girl Of My Dreams" is an excellent song, though. Sounds very much like Slyboyz and Skagarack with a touch of Kansas.

From: 123charpenay Date: May 1, 2009 at 18:16
great aor album.rare in japan import.

From: 123charpenay Date: February 1, 2011 at 13:20
the reissue by escape music is hightly recommanded cause the bonus track is simply excellent.this band is special ,they have something more than others a o r bands.a superior class i think.if you don t know this band ,imagine asia with guitars.a hard version of asia.!!!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: October 25, 2012 at 20:45
Pleasant release...just that IMO...good songs in the shape of "It's Over","You're Still On Your Own","Hold On","Girl Of My Dreams" & "One Night" are the ones i like from this album...is not AOR by numbers but neither a waste...pleasant,just that...86/100
