Trash.

I concur with CMGio and I'm not just talking about the skanks in the 'Pornstar' video. The biggest shocker is Zakk Wylde playing guitar in the video(needs the paycheck) as he looks like a biker just landed on a Backside Boys/Girls gone Wild video shoot. For all you rap fans Ludacris makes his debut on this site with the alternative version. 'My Darkest Days is a Canadian post-grunge band based in Toronto' according to wikipedia. Post Grunge/Current Crap IMO. This one makes Hinder sound original. It seems like a calculated by the numbers attempt to generate one (available at Walmart now) hit single. I hate almost all modern rock but this one sounds very sterile, even by today's standards.

This band is a younger version of Nickelback. Chad Kroeger backing them, it's no surprise. Picked it up yesterday on loan from our local library. It's not bad, but not great.

Those with a phobia towards modern hard rock will loathe this CD like a vampire hates a garlic pizza loaded with crucifix-shaped anchovies, but those who dabble in the mainstream rock scene will find an album full of catchy songs backed up by big budget production values. The hooks on here are infectious, meaning all it takes it one or two spins for the tunes to be stuck in your head like a lobotomist's broken drill. Sure, the whole project is assembly line material, deliberately designed and carefully crafted with hit single status as the final goal, but that doesn't mean it's not highly enjoyable. Recommended, but only for modern hard rock fans...purists should avoid this like an altar boy avoiding a priest with a hard-on.

Think I like this genre (too) better and better. Like Shinedown, Nickelback and Hinder. This is highly enjoyable CD. 87/100

This is definetly modern rock and if you dug Nickelbacks Darkhorse album this one is for you. It is by no coincidence either at Chad Kroeger not only produced this group but also wrote most of the songs on it. It has that heavy sexual overtone on several songs as Darkhorse did. I must say though it is one of the better modern rock albums that has been released. Those who are fans of the 80's rock flavor may struggle to enjoy this album though. Just keep in mind the genre and this is a good release.

Post-grunge basically means that the music is 100% Seattle (but simple like Nirvana, so trained monkeys can do it), except they sing about strippers. One of those bands that people who listen to (hyper)active-rock radio like to throw out and insist that they're an updated hair-metal band, like they're the second coming of Motley Crue or something. Why? Because they sing about strippers? Big fuckin' deal.

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: March 28, 2011 at 11:40
As I was saying the other day, this is where we're at now. Today, '80's rock, or hair-metal, or whatever you want to call it, has come to mean "strip-club music," and not a whole lot more.

Doghouse, speaking of monkey business check out the 'Best CDs of 2010' link where the usual suspects are defending MDD honor. Notice the kindred spirits reviews where this sacred post grunge disc is always within arms reach in their 4 wheel chariots. Throw MDD in a hermetically sealed vault for 20 years, along with Limp Bizkit, and the entire genre of rap/modern rock. My opinion is that a majority of those bands won't age well when the next generation opens the seal. Here is a link on the boards to comment on the best of 2010. http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=26081&st=0

What, you tryin' to get me fired up?

To many (young) bands play this type of modern rock. They sound good, but most of them interchangable. You can't here any difference between one band or the other. Then it becomes boring.
