|Why the hell is this listed as 'glam' here? Dont let the title fool ya. This is pure hard rock and nothing but.

|This is without a doubt the best hard rock album album ever made. What nut classified it as glam?

|Great band, heavy enough to satisfy both hard rock & metal fans. I would put thee guys in the same league as America's ALICE IN CHAINS. Though, these guys never have gotten the recognition they deserve outside of Europe. It's an outrage! 9.5 on the SWINE SCALE!

|I very rarely say this but this bands Sucks!, I'm not writing to start fights, but just to inform people that this is not all what people are saying

|If you like your hard rock mixed with lots of attitude & a heavy edge, you can't go wrong with this sophomore album from THE ALMIGHTY. The opening track, 'Crucify,' instantly shows the band is here to take no prisoners and they never look back. Just listen to 'Bandaged Knees'...now that's great hard rock! The big guitars & aggressive style should appeal to fans of Skid Row, Dead Bang, & bands of that nature. An underrated release that deserves to be heard.

|Deadly serious staying power! The Almighty runs into a small battle with Hell's Angels over the similarities between the two groups logos. Almighty emerging unharmed and the skeleton in question now wears an indian headdress rather than a pair of angel wings. 'Almighty' is a bastard breed of metal with a lack of respect for any tradition. Good songs, good times and good hard Rock 'N Roll! Check out Almighty's-'Crank' and 'Powertrippin'. Sometimes not having an image is the best image of all!

|This album is one of my favorites. They DO rock in Scotland! They recently reformed, and the last 2 releases, 'The Almighty' and especially the newest, 'PsychoNarco' are well worth seeking out.

|Great album this one, full on mind blowing rock! Devils Toy was the demise of my old stereo! Hell to Pay is a great track to. Buy it! anything after this from the almighty sucked!

|Good band, good album. Not as raw and energetic as Blood, Fire and Love, but overall, the songs are better. Power Trippin' is their best, and Just Add Life was cool but not their best. Haven't heard any of their stuff since they reformed.

|If you like this album then Powertrippin will blow you away. It is a lot heavier and shows the bands quality. It also has a second CD with it with some tracks they played on a live set at the Donnington rock festival in England.

|Quite good classical hard rock played in a raw style. Not their best record though. Would never put them along with Alice In Chains, they have so few in common. If Almighty can be considered a good hard rock band, Alice In Chains is so much more than that... Anyway, this band is quite a cool band...but not a great one.

|I read on the internet that this band was made-up of members of former punk bands. You can hear this influence at times, especially in the raspy vocals. It is hard rock but not hair band or heavy metal. Stand out tunes were 'Free 'N Easy' and 'Devil's Toy', but the rest of the C.D. is just average. I do sometimes wish I had kept the C.D. for those two songs, though.

|There are a lot more Almighty albums out there right up to 2001. They are by far one of the best bands to come out of Glasgow, Scotland.

|This band always seemed to be lacking consistent songwriting, which is too bad because the music is pretty good. Starts off strong with the first couple songs, but nothing rises above average after. 5/10

|If you like this cd then I suggest you get Soul Destruction Live. It is filmed at a gig in London and is only available on VHS and it f*cking rocks. After watching it I now really wish had been to one of their gigs.

|Fantastic album. Clearly the best Almighty record made. Bandaged Knees is worth the price of the cd alone. 9/10.....
||Date: March 21, 2005 at 22:53|
|I can only echo what Dave says above. 'Bandaged knees' truly is worth this alone and one of the best ballads of the era. Man I love that song! Overall, this is another good solid hard rocking disc. These guys knew what they did well, and did it very well.

|I have the Japanese version of this one w/2 bonus tracks. This is some harder edge hard rock (which I enjoy) but it seemed just average to me. It is a decent release but there were no reach out and kick my ass songs here. Maybe it's because I'm picking this one up after so many other bands have done the same thing.

|One of my favorite hard rock/ hair metal releases and believe me I have lost count of how many I've heard over the years. There are damn few that I've owned for 12+ years that I still listen to on a regular basis, but this is one of them. Too bad they modernized their sound after this one because I would have loved to hear more. Bottom line , if you are a fan of 80's type rock/metal you must own this....

|almighty is a real band and release a true masterpiece of hard rock.pure energy, nice sleazy melodic tunes, fantasic lyrics and much of attitude are obvious in "soul destruction".listen to "devil s toy","free n easy","bandaged knees", "joy bang one time" and "sin against the light" are great songs.unfortunately the next efforts went in adifferent direction but the almighty with "soul destruction" left their mark in the early 90's.certainly a must for everyone
