Highly recomendable.Very well produced, and very energetic. One of the best buys Ive done in a long time.

From: samolice Date: May 11, 2002 at 12:30
If you like 80's metal music, you gonna love this album. Guitars and vocals are really aggressive and songs well written. Buy it!

From: Rokk Date: May 23, 2002 at 16:13
I like Riot before thundersteel. they have so many albums that are better than this one imo. Restless Breed, Rock City, and Fire Down Under ROCKS!!1

From: Marty Date: June 29, 2002 at 18:04
I have been a fan of Riot for a long time. They have so many great albums. If you love hard rock, this is a must buy. Thundersteel is an album where you don't have to skip a song. Everyone is great!

From: cyvais Date: July 6, 2002 at 1:53
I learned so much from Tony Moore as a vocalist. If you can find the album "privilege of Power" you'll be even more impressed... especially with the songwriting, production, vocals and drummer extraordinaire Bobby Jarzombek who happens to be in Halford at present.

7,41 FOR THIS MASTERPIECE?????? YOU'RE ALL CRAZY BASTARDS!!!!!! RIOT... SIMPLY THE BEST BAND IN HARD & HEAVY METAL SCENE

From: freddy de keyze Date: November 22, 2002 at 1:38
Great band, but this CD isn't that good. For me and I think for a lot of others Rock City and Fire Down Under are the real jewels of this band. Now they play average metal, in the seventies and early eighties they were trendsetters and great !

From: MUTHA TRUCKA Date: January 20, 2003 at 3:40
AVERAGE METAL? THIS PARTICULAR CD ROCKS HARD! BOBBIE THE ZOMBIE IS DOUBLE BASS WIZZARD - LISTEN TO THE OPEN TRACK - AND THE THE REST OF THE BAND IS EXCELLENT AS WELL. I BOUGHT THIS AT A USED CD STORE FOR A COUPLE BUCKS NEVER HAVING HEARD OF THE BAND, THE ALBUM COVERE LOOKED COOL, AND WITH A TITLE LIKE THUNDERSTEEL, IT HAD TO BE AWESOME, AND IT IS. A FORGOTTEN CLASSIC IN MY OPINION. VERY GOOD METAL.

Axeslinger. This is the one you were looking for. Run for your life is on it. Good release, well produced (Not over) Reale really plays a mean guitar.

From: Xabofar Date: March 5, 2003 at 13:12
One of the best 80´s metal albums for me.

From: Axelinger Date: March 5, 2003 at 18:26
Yes, Run For Your Life is a good song, but why do they have a totally different song titled Run For Your Life on their Fire Down Under album???? That confused the hell out of me in trying to find out who recorded the one that appears on Thundersteel...

From: Great Dane Date: March 5, 2003 at 22:03
I'll have to check Fire Down Under. But Iøm sure its Riot playing the track on Thundersteel.??? Isnt it. By the way. I have Riot Live Too. Thats a very good live album.

From: Axelinger Date: March 6, 2003 at 1:02
Yeah, Riot has TWO different songs titled Run For Your Life... One on Thundersteel (the one I was trying to identify) and one on Fire Down Under...

From: ALEJANDRO Date: April 2, 2003 at 15:27
TAL CUAL "FIRE DOWN UNDER" FUE EL CLASICO DE SU PRIEMRA EPOCA, ESTE DISCO ES UNA OBRA MAESTRA DE SU SEGUNDA ETAPA. JUNTO A "KEEPER " DE HELLOWEEN ESTA PRODUCCION LES ABRIO LA PUERTA A MUCHAS BANDAS DE POWER QUE LLEGARON MAS TARDE. 10/10. cometarios a carro_martin2000@yahoo.com.ar

Has anybody ever heard of RIOT's BORN IN AMERICA album? What year was that album released? and why wasn't that here in heavyharmonies? Please comment.

From: ALEJANDRO Date: June 23, 2003 at 10:24
BORN IN AMERICA WAS RELEASED IN 1983, THE LEAD SINGER WAS RHETT FORRESTER WHO WAS KILLED IN 1994. THE STYLE OF THE BAND WAS A HARD ROCK WITH SO MUCH MELODIES. I THINK WAS AN 8/10 IN MY SCALE. ANY QUESTION? WRITE ME TO: carro_martin2000@yahoo.com.ar

From: Metalhead Date: July 14, 2003 at 19:28
Thanks, Alejandro. I just got that one and must agree that it really has melodies. Only the production could be better.

From: DAVID Date: September 14, 2003 at 10:14
THUNDERSTEEL&THE PRIVILEGE OF POWER THE 2 BEST& HEAVIEST ALBUMS.THE DOUBLE BASS WORK BY BOBBY IS FLAWLESS.CHECK OUT BLACK LEATHER AND GLITTERING STEEL.AND NOTHING AGAINST THE OTHER GUYS BUT TONY MOORE IS (THE)VOICE OF RIOT.

From: stevie Date: October 31, 2003 at 11:45
Just get "Fire Down Under"! Elektra sat on it for years trying to drop the band but word got out about this unbelievable album (before the Internet as well remember) and forced it's release. And it really IS fantastic. Bought it in early 80s and it's still one of my Top 5 of all time. Songs, playing and production all still sound great. U kno the cry: why weren't these guys huge? Def Leppard released High & Dry the same month. There's no justice!! Oh, and Speranza rules Forrester!

From: drakke Date: November 30, 2003 at 1:56
I think one of best cd riot produced just like fire down under....the best drummer riot has ever had and vocalist.........

From: Metal Pete Date: January 16, 2004 at 15:37
Recently did my part to get Fire Down Under added here, please go and add comments. I'll have to give this later Riot stuff a whirl...will be hard to beat Fire Down Under though. VERY hard! If someone can provide Dan with a good link to the album art for it that would be much appreciated...rock on!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 14, 2004 at 17:52
Another change in singer's means another change in styles. Tony Moore's voice fits well with the new power metal style. Sounds somewhat like an american Helloween. 8/10

From: Joan Date: July 31, 2004 at 21:17
Madre mia, quien no se emocione con "Bloodstreets" es que no tiene sentimientos!! El mejor disco de Riot, y exceptuando "Run for your life" (vaya m...) el resto de canciones son buenísimas.

From: deathrise Date: January 4, 2005 at 10:40

Sheer Power Metal...Euro style and all...Reminiscent to early HELLOWEEN stuff but this is MUCH tighter thanx to Jarzombek

From: Figge Date: September 26, 2006 at 17:01
One of the best power metal/heavy metal albums of all time, in my humble opinion. Just great stuff from first song to the last. This is the album every metal and power metal band dream of recording. Dynamic, well produced, great performances and especially very good SONGS! Tony Moore is a master vocalist with an impressive feel for phrasing and melodies....very good tone. I recommend every fan of classic metal to check this album out.

From: metalhead4life Date: December 12, 2006 at 12:21
My favorite Riot album. Excellent power metal with AWESOME guitar by Mark Reale. Tony Moore has awesome very high pitched vocals that hit the spot. Definitely a must have.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 22, 2006 at 22:49
Melodic but yet powerful album. The title track "thundersteel"blew my mind off the first time i listened to it.The rest of the songs are in the same vein as the title track.10/10

From: z4roxx Date: December 27, 2006 at 13:40
If you like this one I must recommend you the first release of Savage Steel(“begins with a nightmare”),most of the tracks are in the same vein and I must add that their second and last release”Do or die”(1988)is one of the best technical power/thrash cds’ever heard, the first one is more heavy metal oriented than the second BTW.

From: Japangea Date: September 9, 2007 at 3:47
A great comeback having both the same direction and feeling that they had in early years with both Rock City and Narita albums.

From: Vinfer Date: September 10, 2007 at 3:56
This is a great and pure Heavy Metal album...melodic metal?!?! Where?...Mah.... vinfer80@tin.it

From: underworld king Date: April 23, 2009 at 9:03
A great release by one of my favorite bands. I like all eras of Riot and can't wait to catch the Thundersteel reunion live this year. After Dimeo left the band I had hoped Tony Moore would return as the vocalist. What great news when this reunion was announced. I can't wait.

From: underworld king Date: April 4, 2010 at 20:42
Saw them live in June 2009 and they did not disappoint. Tony Moore still has it and the rest of the band was tight as well. I'm looking forward to the new material!

From: halfordhughes Date: June 2, 2011 at 12:54
this is riot's best album ever!!! awesome metal album!!!and tony moores halford styles excellent voice!!!recommended!!!

From: hair metal again Date: July 23, 2019 at 15:55
absolut heavy metal masterpiece for the mighty RIOT and for us fans who bought it when it was out it was obvious that JUDAS PRIEST listened to it before they made Painkiller !flawless from start to finish with howling guitars and vocals ,amazing songwriting and a perfect performance from every aspect , Thundersteel got its place in the heavy metal history !all the songs are excellent and still sound fresh &extremely electric!essential
