A MUST HAVE. GREAT SONGS WRITTEN WITH TOP NOTCH TALLENT. AMERICAN MADE BUT NOT AMERICAN KNOWN. CHECK OUT THEIR NEW NAME OF GUILD OF AGES. SAME BAND WITH GOOD SOLID ROCK THAT YOU WON'T HAVE A HARD TIME REMEMBERING.

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: July 28, 2002 at 11:52
Quizas un poco empalagosillos estos Cita, bastante influenciados por Def Leppard(Adrenalize)y el ultimo de Michael Morales, reconozco que tienen buenos temas pero a la larga se hacen un poco pesaitos.

From: MALLORCAS ROCK Date: December 27, 2002 at 16:14
Coincido totalmente con 9 Champions a 1 solo decir que me gustan mas que con Guild of ages

From: Rycheage Date: January 26, 2003 at 20:32
Excellent hard rock/AOR. This band went on to become Guild Of Ages, another great hard rock outfit. 'Everytime (I Close my Eyes)' absolutely rocks. High praise.

This is a solid cd...every song is great. The backup singing choruses are excellent. Highly recommended. And this cd rocks. Don't let the AOR classfication fool you. It's got edge! And the total time makes it a great value. Buy it now!!

Indeed a solid AOR/hardrock release. Maybe even their best one, although it's difficult to say this ! Anyway, good band !

From: sultan6 Date: February 25, 2004 at 1:38
Awesome heavy guitar crunch in 'Stand Or Fall' if the rest of the album is like this i agree with evryone,A MUST HAVE!!! 10 out of 10

From: Melodiker Date: March 27, 2004 at 11:02
Brilliant AOR CD ! A Must Have ! With every rotation in my player, this one is better and better !!!

From: Border Rat Date: May 18, 2004 at 9:31
Brilliant cd.This band changed its name to GUILD OF AGES and produced 3 additional cds under that monicker. Both CITA cds are very well played Bon Jovi type music with a slightly heavier edge. Great guitar solos and great harmony sing along songs are the order here. These cds get regular plays in my cd player and this shows just how good this band is.It is a shame that we will have no more work from this great band.

From: Vami Date: October 21, 2004 at 7:21
Eh... Caught In The Act was a Dutch boysband also...

From: Wotty Date: February 8, 2005 at 15:30
Superb album !!!

From: Geoff Date: March 6, 2005 at 5:23
This has some of the best melodic rock songs I've ever heard. 'Everytime (I Close My Eyes)' is as good as melodic hard rock gets, and 'Through The Years' is just as good. Two sensational tracks of melodic perfection and the rest is all very good melodic hard rock. Obviously not as good, overall, as what was to come, but the first two tracks match anything they ever did.

From: Joe Date: April 13, 2005 at 8:44
to any and all CITA/GOA fans out there. The band has reformed with the original members of CITA, and has signed a deal with MTM music to put out another album. Due out sometime late 2005. Keep checking on the MTM web site for further details.

From: Joe Date: April 13, 2005 at 9:00
The reformed CITA band is going under the name RELAPSED.

If you haven't caught onto the fact that this is a great melodic HR band, then you need to get with the program pronto. This is some insanely well-produced stuff, polished to the point of perfection to permit those pristine hooks to come through and grab you by the ears. There's really nothing bad to say about this CD...it's a melodic rock gem. If you love slick guitars, catchy hooks, shiny production, and endless layers of harmony vox, then you'll quickly get caught up in Caught in the Act.

From: Vikki Roxx Date: June 4, 2006 at 14:57
Beautiful melodies, great hooks, catchy songwriting... Amazing. 10/10.

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 3, 2007 at 15:19
Holy crap!!! Did someone slip an unreleased Bon Jovi disc in here by mistake? No. Are you sure, because the vocals and song writing leads me to believe otherwise. Any of this would be at home on any Bon Jovi Album. Hell, I think it could fool some of his own fans. It's that close and that good in spots. The whole thing is not out of the park, but boy, when these guys get ahold of the ball. Head for the fence! Simply stunning AOR with top notch production and very, very recomended!!!

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: August 20, 2007 at 0:05
GOOD CD 82/100 agree the positives comments above ! But imo they ARE much better than BON JOVI ! They have on this paticular CD some kind of EUROPEAN vibe ,i really like !

From: Metzi Date: August 27, 2007 at 6:34
Very good cd, excellent songwriting.

From: juan carlos Date: June 11, 2010 at 22:38
Excellent Melodic Rock/AOR CD. My friend Beto sold me this one many years ago. Yep, this has catchy riffs/tunes/harmonies, it`s quite consistent, plenty of melodies. "Through The Years" "Silent Soldiers" "No Heroes" "These Eyes" "Who Will You Run To" and "Two Hearts" are my favorite tracks. This CD grows on me when i give it more spins. 8.5/10

From: happy2849 Date: January 21, 2011 at 14:43
Agree with above comments. Top-notch melodic rock the way I like it. This was the 1st step into releasing some melodic rock gems (CITA or Guild Of Ages). You can't go wrong with any of them!

From: 123charpenay Date: November 10, 2011 at 3:51

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 8, 2013 at 16:01
The japanese edition of this album brings some live bonus tracks of some songs of the band's 2 releases(this one "Act 1" & "Heat Of Emotion")..."Everytime(I Close My Eyes)","Through The Years"(nice AORish),"Stand Or Fall","These Eyes","Relapse Of Reason","Who Will You Run To","Changes" & the Axe's cover "Silent Soldiers" are good songs by all means but personally talking i liked more their follow up "Heat Of Emotion" of 1996...87/100

From: 123charpenay Date: July 22, 2013 at 14:10
a little addition to my comment from 2011.the japan reissue on toshiba records offer four bonus tracks live.the sound is absoluty perfect, the voices and the choirs are beautiful.this japan version is impossible to find on ebay but it s symply essential.if one day you find this treasure don t hesitate:buy buy buy.cita plays a top class hard fm.class with a big C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: Ydol eM Date: July 28, 2013 at 14:59
This album did good credit to Caught In The Act for me, because in the highlight time of grunge they made pomp melodic AOR in a wide range of this kind of music - IMO - from Toto to Ten. I wouldn't compare it to any of Bon Jovi's album. I rather feel some progressive vibes and even some choruses and harmonies remind me my favourite progressive metal band Shadow Gallery. All in all, very nice to listen but surely not at the top of my tree. 80/100.
