This CD is a piece of crap, and a real disappointment. Shaw cannot write any decent songs by himself, all his solo stuff sucks. Don't rip Dennis DeYoung too much Tommy, he helped put alot of money in your pocket. One listen to this was enough for me, this is almost as bad as Shaw-Blades. 2 on a 10 scale, forget a solo career, give our ears a break. |

I Think this is a great cd, nothing like his first solo cd or Damn Yankees, But I listen to it a lot, and I think it rocks. |

Who I Am - by far the best track. I enjoyed almost the whole album. |

Sounds like Tommy wanted to go in several directions at the same time. There are a few good half-cooked Shaw/Blades leftovers here: "All in How You Say It" and "In This Night", and even a decent rocker called "Straight Down the Line". But this is clearly a CD highlighted by moments not continuity. Things get pretty strange by the end of the CD, if you last that long. If you want to hear Tommy's best solo CD: dig deep for "Ambition" (1987). |

Tommy Shaw opening up some creative wings, here. Love this CD. Shows how versitile he is, and even in his 50's-- the man rocks. In fact, he's just getting warmed up. Can't wait for more! |

What a great surprise! I just got this CD and its not what I expected at all. Each track is like being in a different place. I guess it has a lot of influence that Shaw has been on while we've been waiting since Ambition. Highly reccommend this one. What a voice! |

this is by far the worst album he have made on his own ..as "koogles" says, he`s trying out several directions at once on this one....come on Mr Shaw, i know you can do better than this...( "ambition", "girls with guns" ) |

Listening to this album was again...now my comment in english...well,in here you won't find the AOR type of songs ala "Ambition" stage but surely some good melodic/lite rock ones in the shape of "What Do You Want From Life","In This Night"(rocks!),"Straight Down The Line","A Place To Call My Own" and the best cut IMO "All In How You Say It"...a more personal album perhaps, commercial but not that much at the same time...a matter of tastes but i'd recommend this one...86/100 my definitive rate. |
