well, after a few listens some really great songs, Runaway, Without Love, Trouble, and with the great Kevin Chalfant, the cool thing, even though Kevin is the vocalist, some of the sounds, chord changes, etc, still sound like the classic SStar!!!! only downfall is that a better production could have been much better!!! only time will tell on this one for me, but after a few listens, pretty good stuff

Just received my copy from NEH Records in today's mail, This Cd is awesome! If I would of played this disc before looking at the title, I would have never guessed this was a S-Star release. Chalfant is in top form with great vocals, this could well be a two Fires/The Storm release. I also found no problem with the production, however not polished but overall sounds great. I would rate this disc 9/10

Hmmmmm - What to make of this one. Initially very disappointed, but after a few spins some of the songs are sinking in (Without Love, What Love Is).Pretty much all the typical SS sounds are on here, except Chalfant's vocals (which it has to be said aren't the best recorded ever) and in general the band sound pretty good together again. My main worry about this release is that some of the material isn't that great it has to be said, solid & Well written - yes, but no really big choruses. Average.

Excellent effort from one of the most underrated bands around. I wasn't sure how this would work with Kevin Chalfant but he is excellent on vocals and as close to Gary West that Shooting Star is going to get. Van McClain always writes good songs. Overall 9/10 and worth purchasing. Best tunes are Temptation, I'm a Survivor, Runaway, and Everybody's Crazy.

I'll have to pass on this one. I love Chalfant's voice, but this is a pretty lacklustre effort, IMO. Anyone could have written any of the songs on this album, and I just couldn't find anything special or stand-out. It's not the worst album, and the first ballad is pretty nice, but overall I just don't get the feeling this release is home to songs that needed to be recorded.

We cannot say that this disc is bad cuz it acts of Shooting Star and Kevin Chalfant. However, "Circles" far from being the best release of the band. An average album, which will not mark the spirits. Not good, not bad... Maybe insipid.

Although when i browse through this great web page i always (if i can find it) look for comments from FreddyTheKeyze, aorjocke,TIM,koogles and so on it seems that Geoff's comments first get into my eyes because he's only REAL critic here and in many points i agree with him, but in many points i don't, like with this album which is in my opinion for guys that rock for 27 years very good comeback if you look around a bit and see what releases are coming out (copy of copy of copy of copy of copy of

Not as strong as some of the band's previous releases...a decent album but nothing else IMO...the highlights for me are "Runaway","Without Love"(nice),"George's Song"(nice),"Temptation"(has some southern rock feel)& "I'm A Survivor"...Kevin Chalfant's undoubtebly a great singer and somehow gives some merit to the album but it could have been a stronger one after all those years of silence...anyway,as i said,a decent one...85/100
