I was pleasantly surprised by this album. I figured that Lou would be crooning the way Steve Perry did for his first solo album. The songs are well written and Nils does some very good guitar work on this album. I love Midnight Blue. A very good album.

me gusta el album, tal vez no sea una super joya pero esta bien. 8/10

This album do,and does not shows what Foreigner sound is all about.Well written tunes, good romantic lyric writting, and responsable and tight musicianship,of course with the trademark:the emotional, warm voice of Lou Gramm. This is a good contemporary rock effort. Not too commercial, quite AOR.Also there is a big variation between the songs.I give it an 80 out of 100.

To better define the shape of the songs of this album,I might describe them as if you pick up the ordinary songs on Foreigner albuns(the ones that fill the voids beetween the usuall hits)and collor them with the best production money can buy.Toghether with one of the classiest perfomances of the warm smoky pipes of Lou Gramm!Plus this is the sort of record that doesn`t show it`s hooks on a first impression, but right after the third time you listen to you just can`t get enough of it!!!!!

This is a fantastic album. Not quite a rehash of Foreigner material, which is refreshing. "Ready Or Not" and "Midnight Blue" are IMO the best tracks here and are a potent 1-2 punch to start the CD. Fantastic AOR is of the order. "If I Don't Have You" is a dark stab at power ballad territory. It works, and is a fantastic slab of AOR balladry. This is a must own for any AOR fan and of course any Foreigner fan.

Not exactly my favourite release out there. Good AOR, but no moments that made me gasp. Consistent, but not really in a very good way. Average AOR.

This is the hard rocking antithesis to Inside Information. Lou really made a top notch solo album that sounds like Foreigner but somehow lacks the feel of that band. Midnight Blue and Ready Or Not are pretty good and theres no weak tracks really so its a great listen for Foreigner fans

Good album from Lou, un album de AOR con algunos cortes Hard Time, Ready Or Not, Midnight Blue, If I Don't Have You buenos temas, pero quiza no haya cortes que sobresalgan del resto pero estan Ok.

Q grande q era!, tb llamado: La voz d Miel!!! Bueno al menos tenemos la consolacion los d Barna, q por 1ª vez en su historia, los Foreigner con el Gran Mick Jones, van a venir a Barna, sala Bikini, 20 d Junio!!!

El siguiente disco es mucho mejor. De este me gustan (o mejor dicho, me ENCANTAN) Midnight Blue y If I don't have you.

From: juan carlos Date: January 11, 2007 at 20:09
Buen disco. 8.5/10

Brilliant debut...both of his solo releases are quite worth ...the second one is more into a rocking feel than this one...Lou is one of the most talented singers of all time!!!... despite his health problems nowadays he still rocks!!!..."Ready Or Not"( ),"Heartache","Midnight Blue"( ),"Time" & "Cain Of Love"( )are the best tracks of the album for me...essential...95/100

From: hair metal again Date: November 16, 2012 at 10:20
excellent release by the mighty Lou Gramm!sensational vocals, great musicianship and an accurate commercial approach with many nid tempos is what you get!all the songs are full of hooks and are growing spin after spin!for me this is essential!

From: Ydol eM Date: July 7, 2013 at 9:20
The vocal is really outstanding but the songs themselves don't keep pace with the singer. It's like a F1 driver in my old car. Nice AOR, sometimes actually pop rock in the vein of softer Foreigner. 80/100.

Way better than Long Hard Look with bags more commercial appeal. I dare your feet not to tap along with "Arrow Thru Your Heart". Long overdue a remastering...RockCandy!!
