She's gone and done it. Finally released an album I am very very pleased to listen too all the way through. Lots of tasty tunes on here from the Martin Bros. and some of this is very Vega like musically. I do really think her vocal performances on here are pretty good overall, 'Fight Fire With Rain' especially I thought she sounded really good. The Martin Bros. input is excellent, especially on some of the arranging and I love the subtle keyboard parts throughout, which are very very impressive indeed. Nice smooth yet punchy production too. Her best album by a mile

the norvegian queen of a o r is back, with (like always) a superb album.her first cd (my fave) was an atomic bomb ,the second a very brilliant follow up ,the third an exceptional cover record of classic s songs of a o r.crossfire is like her others realises :a must have of female a o r.here this beautiful and dynamic record is more oriented keyboards.this is the influence of her husband james martin from vega.issa have a very good habit ,in her records never an average song ,never a bad song, never a strange song only killer songs with catchy music and catchy melodies.with issa it s a security it s impossible to be disapointed.so we can buy her cd closed eyes cause with her we are in a o r heaven.the duet with steve overland from f m is splendid.the result is a beautiful ballad .the japan import have one bonus track ,an acoustic version of this duet.not essential at my taste.i think that a bonus track live could be a better idea.i can add that the production is perfect.

This is my second album of this beauty!!!(bought her previous one and is a bomb as well)...well,this release is in the same league as the one before i should say ..."Crossfire","New Horizon" & "Ghost Inside My Heart" are my faves...tracks 3(nice song sang in duet with Steve Overland of FM fame),5(nice),6(nice),10(nice),11(nice)and the "nice" japanese B/T "Raintown" in its piano version are also good ones...recommended stuff...Pop/AOR/Melodic Rock well combined in here .90/100

Just an incredible piece of pop AOR. This album was, I think, kind of overshadowed by other Frontiers releases early in the year (Eclipse and Revolution Saints), but Crossfire is easily my favorite of the three. Every song features big choruses, drenched in blissful keyboards, with a top-notch production that allows Issa's voice to come through nice and clean (which I found to be an issue on her previous works). There isn't a moment on this album where I'm not tempted to sing along, nor press the skip button, and for those reasons I must give it an excellent rating. 94/100. Favorite tracks (if I must choose) would be: "Crossfire," "Electric Lights," "Red Lights," and "We Rise."
