From: Rick Date: November 14, 2002 at 19:56
I'm just listening to it now, and it's pretty good. Nothing mind blowing, but worth having.

From: Pete Date: November 17, 2003 at 9:41
Got all there stuff! in Mp3 format(from vinyl) Believe me, the walk it album is poor compared to their earlier harder stuff.

From: aorjocke Date: April 1, 2004 at 18:15
Nice melodicrock album with a good singer (in my opinion).Half of the songs is more keyboard dominated while the other half is more straight hardrock.'E.Z.L.Y.' and 'Honestly Love You' is two really good melodicrock songs, with lot of keyboards, while 'Don't Fall In Love' is a pure AOR track sounding like 'Change of heart' or 'Norway' The production is very clear too!I can really recommend this to those who like the 'Heavens Edge' albums!

From: jack Date: August 16, 2004 at 5:24
Sound a bit like a more melodic winger. Winger is much better than black rose though.

From: Metalhead Date: October 15, 2004 at 0:09
It is really to each his own. The moment I heard this band, I thought they could do no wrong. The same thing I first thought of Skid Row. Not saying like they sound the same but that's the thought that I had. Anyway, like aorjocke wrote, they do have a good singer. Nothing too fancy on the guitars but the whole band really rocked.

This is a great CD...vocalist sounds kind of like Steve Grimmett of Grim Reaper, musically it's like early Def Leppard and Quiet Riot. GREAT album!

From: steve bardsley Date: December 29, 2004 at 17:11
Hey Guys Steve Bardsley singer with Black Rose here. Thanks for all your positive comments its nice to know that people out there in the big wide world appreciated what we did.As Pete says when we first started we were a lot heavier and our first album (unfortunatley not available on cd) reflected that. The second album was a more mellow affair but by no means was it a wimp album ,still heavy but more melodic. If anybody wants to know more about the band please visit the website above , cheers!

116 bucks for this on Ebay? Yikes! Anyway, MR.com reports that a 'Best Of' collection by these guys is on the way, so some of us may be able to sample Black Rose without hitting the lottery.

Wow, from the moment this starts it is bliss. Awesome hard rock from start to finish. The title track or 'Party animal' are the weakest, IMO, but even they're pretty good. 'Shout it out' is a splendid hard rock opener, 'Honestly love you' is a beautiful commercial gem, 'Don't fall in love', 'Calafornia USA' and 'Bright lights burnin' are highlights too. Overall, this is just kick-ass hard rock and easily one of the best indies out there. Highly recommended.

Saw a couple of videos in youtube and whoao how incredible was to see this guys performing live as this is one of my favourites records.Never thought of seeing videos of the band and never thought that they have a web page.Steve Bardsley wrote a message after mine's and it was nice to see that some performers check this HH page.Good luck Black Rose!!!!!!.
