Great Progressive AOR/Pop Rock Saved By You, The Mask, Time for a Change, 2 AM, The Haunting, Solid Heart & Kowtow best tracks IMO, if you are a lover of AOR/Pop Rock with it's Progressive side then... 90/100.

'Kowtow' is basically high quality demos that the band were shopping around whilst trying to get a record deal, hence the more commercial approach than the previous 'The Jewel'. I still has it feet firmly in the Prog camp, but the songs (except the excellent 'The Haunting') are much more commercial and in the case of 'Saved By You', bordering on the pop/rock side of things. Never the less, this is a really excellent album and one of my favourite Pendragon discs, and features a very strong set of songs like 'I Walk The Rope', the lovely '2 AM' and the aforementiond 'The Haunting' & 'Total Recall. Great album and a highly recommended.
