| Are there not more guys and girls that know this little gem. Pomp and AOR fans, this is a CLASSIC, not to be missed. Swirling keyboards, melodic, pompeus songs. What more do you need. Listen to 'Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya' and you'll be blown away !!!!! Excellent, so BUY !!!!!!!

| Alone Tonight is a masterpiece. Why critics panned that track as over-produced is a mystery for the ages. Great album from start to finish with standouts being Nothing To Fear, P.U.N.K, Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya, Shall I Run Away, and the aforementioned Alone Tonight. Gary Shea is a monster bass player and Jimmy Waldo is severely underrated on keyboards. Too bad they didn't last longer.

| yes, a very good-sound album indeed. the sinature track-dont ever want to loose ya- is excellent, with my personal fav-nothing to fear!

| Paul Stanley may be credited with producing this album but the person twiddling the knobs was Mike Stone of Asia-Whitesnake-Journey fame. Their team effort created an ethereal landscape that made these already good songs great. The musicianship itself is top-notch, and the swirling keys, blaring sirens and edgy guitars enhance rather than annoy. 'Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya' is an AOR classic, and songs like 'Shall I Run Away' and 'Nothing to Fear' stick in your brain long after the final spin. A+

| When I first heard don't ever wanna loose ya,I said who are these rockers in the era of kiss,styx,ac/dc 70's.I bought the the album and this day I still have the vinyl classic.all songs are great a masterpiece.Oh by the way I have all the albums as you know very few were printed at the time. great solid rock and roll.

| Too bad the music industry doesn't back great kick wazoo bands anymore like New England. This is a great classic and why they didn't score big will be a mystery to me. 'Alone Tonight' 'Don't ever wanna lose ya' 'P.U.N.K' are my personal faves from this album.

| Another stunning band with a CRACKING ALBUM ! Classic pomp/AOR is the name of the game here and 'Don't ever wanna lose ya' is the piece the resistance ! What a song ! Anyway, CLASSIC stuff, A MUST !!! They're back with a live album ! Great !!!

| New England's sound has a resemblance to luminaries Boston, Journey, and a rockier version of Foreigner, and when compared to those greats, it's not hard to see why these guys were revered in the same breath. Pretty talented mob too, with a lush symphonic style melded with some solid and at times brutal guitarwork from frontman John Fannon.The band and the album attracted an impressive production team, with Kiss' Paul Stanley and AOR/pomp producer Mike Stone involved with the project.

| Oh, yeah, this is a MUST HAVE for fans of melodic hard rock. Imagine Kiss-meets-Moody Blues...with a little Cheap Trick, ELO, and Aerosmith thrown in for good measure...and you may come close to the stellar, singular sound of New England. Incredible melodies wrap thundering sonic booms; shining harmonies soothe raging riffs. And don't miss their two follow-up CDs either: EXPLORER SUITE and WALKING WILD. While they are not quite as consistent as the debut, they have their own peaks also.

| After all my warblings on this site I can't believe I missed out on New England. They were a superb band and I wish that they had lasted longer than they did. This is their debut and it's an unbelieveable tour de force packed full of great songs! If you love AOR/Pomp....any music you should have this. British band Bronz did a cover of Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya which is possibly the standout track on a fantastic album. I say possibly as all the songs are A++++

| Spot on Nick - First heard 'Don't Ever Wanna' Lose Ya' on the 'Precious Metal' compilation back in 1980 (along with the mighty Axe), and it has remained one of my alltime fave songs ever since. Definately one of the best debuts ever released - even to day, this stands head and shoulders above the competition, showing how it should be done. Power, Melody and most importantly Quality throughout. One of the few that deservedly gets the 100 rating, and there ain't many of them.

| I love this one!!!!! I remember in 79 driving around listening to Don't Ever, then saw them live opening for someone? then got the album, this is one of the main reasons I still keep a turntable, this one is right next it!!! The entire album is strong!!!!!! Hello is a great opener!!! so why is this not re-released???? Has to be among the top 10 of the 70's for AOR/Rock!!!!!!!

| A great debut album throughout! Can't find a clunker on here. I was lucky enough to see them reunite for a charity concert in Medford, MA last month. They played an awesome set, even though it was only 6 songs. Among the other 7 acts that performed, New England stole the show!

| RockAOR bien pomposo comparables a unos Angel ELO('Hello, Hello, Hello' los coros a lo ELO) Boston y demas, seguro para amantes de ese estilo les gustará y mucho. Para mí no es un clásico, los temas tranquilos son mis preferidas aunque en las movidas tienen sus buenas melodías. 'Turn Out the Light' 'The Last Show' y 'Alone Tonight' en lo mío. Para ser del 79 pues no está mal. 8/10

| Just picked this up. “Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya” is such a great tune. The rest is good but does not stack up to their most famous song. Album has a real ELO, Sweet vibe to it.
